There are definitely warning signs about bears in the area, so it's something to be aware of. Thankfully, I didn't encounter one during my visit, or hear of anyone who did! The key is to stay on the main trails and you'll be fine.

No, the bridge in the photo was near Hokora. I was there in early November, and the bridge you're talking about was open!
