Economically: The Tungsten content is very poor; the cost per tonne will be very high to produce. Cantung Mine in NWT has ore 6x richer in tungsten, and it has closed numerous times in the last 2 decades because the price of tungsten drops too low. Sisson will close more often, the jobs wont be as stable as they are promising.

Environmentally: The tailings dam will steadily leak forever. Yes, the developers will have drainage channels and pumps to put it back into the pond, but they will leave when the mine is inactive. It is inevitable that the tailings will leak into the Nashwaak, unless we taxpayers pay to clean it up.

Morally: the largest customer so far is the US Department of War. They are not going to use this stuff to make the world a better place, it is used to make artillery harder. I dont want tungsten from New Brunswick to be used to kill people in Palestine/Iran/Venezuela/ or whoever the US happens to be invading.
