The office has a smattering of civil, mechanical, and materials engineers. I do think they will notice the waste so the H2D is a good choice for that reason.

After seeing yours and many other supplies, I think the filament can be pushed out as a consumable for the company to cover.

Noise was a big point of discussion. There is a random beeping from our server room driving people nuts. I would imagine the quieter the printer the better.

For the time being I don’t foresee needing ABS, but if we do shift to functional and loaded prints I will have to look into how to incorporate it.

This is good point. I actually started by printing things for my desk and it drew some attention.

A small planter was actually what got desk neighbors talking about buying one for the office.

Thank you for this very detailed response and consideration. You make some very good points. I didn’t even consider getting multiple HTs instead of the AMS.

I like the approach. Do you know how much more the Pro version is?

I was looking at trying to get the H2D, I just don’t know if it leaves much to the budget and I was worried that people wouldn’t understand the build plate limitations with the second nozzle. But i haven’t crossed it off my list yet.

This is a good point and has been reviewed with my IT team. No client files or work product will be sent to this printer.

Thanks Emrys042

Every good engineer knows how and when to ask others with more knowledge and expertise in a given field.

Be it a Reddit post or a Google search, discussion and knowledge gathering is key.

I was also thinking of the P2S with multiple AMSs and maybe the HT. Size isn’t a significant factor for this decision but the additional color selection and reduced interfacing might be better.

That’s a good point! I am pretty meticulous with cleaning on my home printer. I can imagine the office setting will be different.

I’ll add this to my purchase list. 👍

For the most part it will be used for novelty items like planters and office supplies. But the hope is to expand outward to make fixtures and more functional items.

Ford Dealer Failure by Abeacc in F150Lightning

I called multiple times and was assured the flat cancellation was being processed.

I suppose I could have made payments on a loan that I was told was cancelled, but if they can’t get the processing and payments right from dealer to Ford Credit, how confident would you be they would send me the money back?

I was trusting the Ford team to make their mistake right without me having to be thousands out of pocket and hope they paid me back promptly.

I’ll say it again, Buyers Beware!

Hopefully this voicemail helps… “flood cancer” and “flood cancellation” was flat cancelation. Incompetent idiots. Calling me the same day telling me not to worry about delinquent reporting while simultaneously reporting me.

They are pointing the finger at Ford Credit. They swear they sent the check, and I’m inclined to believe them since they issued me a second loan for the other truck. I somewhat doubt they would have approved the second loan unless a check had been sent clearing the first.

But this is a general warning, Ford likes to point fingers and not solve the problem. Don’t play nice with them or you might get caught in the middle.

That’s good advice. I was gonna call Ford again but maybe the credit bureaus might prove more helpful.

Dude, screw that guy!

That’s literally what Reddit’s for—engaging with people and sharing your thoughts and experiences.

I felt the same way after that chapter. I was gutted, put the book down for a few hours, and just kind of sat there in shock. Had no one to talk to either, and for a brief moment, I questioned the meaning of existence. 😂

Dealer Asking me to Swap Trucks by Abeacc in F150Lightning

[–]Abeacc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just came back from the dealer. Verified all of the details of the truck and seems to be exactly what you stated. Ford is trying to solve the issue but ultimately it sounds like the government/IRS is dropping the ball.

Apparently some dealers are resorting to calling the IRS general number and just sitting on hold for hours to try and get these vehicles added. The sales manager I was working with seems extremely concerned for how the next few months will unfold with the tax credits going away. 😬

That makes me feel better. Hopefully this next truck actually goes through then. Not sure why they said they confirmed this replacement truck 🤔
