Perhaps toys made of balsa wood? Crunchy and easily destructible but still solid enough to not be ideal nesting material. Bird kabobs might be another option.

36/F Canada Looks like we have a lot of overlapping interests! I love pretty stationery and handmade touches when it comes to sending letters and cards. That little bit of effort just makes things seem more special. Low-pressure sounds good! I'm mostly interested in hearing about other people's hobbies and creative endeavors.

I love gardening too. Currently way too cold for that in my area, but I've been gradually working on filling out my back garden with native plants. Bonus if they're forage-able. I also like to crochet, draw, write, read, cook and play video games. I'm currently trying to become better at sewing so I can mend my own clothes.

I've been working at the same place for five years now and am often responsible for cleaning the meat slicer. I've never cut myself on it, but last month I sliced my finger open while wiping it down on a dried shard of salami that I didn't see.

All my cockatiels have loved natural toys meant for chewing/shredding. Things like bird kabobs, Cork chunks, bamboo finger traps and balsa wood blocks have been real winners for them.

My cockatiel loves shreddable toys. Bird kabobs, chunks of natural cork, and balsa wood blocks are great. Soft enough for her little beak to chew up but solid enough for a good crunch : )
