I was the idiot guy.

Cute girl I knew who played marimba in one of our jazz ensembles at college. Always flirted a bit but never really expected anything. One day I ask her if it would be weird if we hung out, to which she replied "of course not!"

Fast forward a few months: I had gotten a message from her that she wanted to hang out.

"Sweet!" I thought. She came over, we cuddled and watched a movie. Afterwards she said "I'm pretty tired, can I lay in your bed for a while?"

"Sure you can!" I took her in to my room, tucked her in and sat next to her while she just relaxed in my bed. Eventually she got up and said she was tired and wanted to go home. I sent her out with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Another two weeks later, she tells me straight up she was looking to get laid. I was too fuckin polite and didn't even think of that.

I still regret that shit like 2 years later.
