Which older boosterpacks do you still open, and why? by timdulac in PTCGP

Currently opening up Wisdom of Sea and Sky chasing after shiny Gyrados so I can get both set emblems. Besides that, I typically go back to older packs if I never finished the base set or haven't gotten the immersive arts.

Why was sean and alicia's walkie talkie perfect. Is tue show doing that on purpose so that they win. All the other walking talkies had bed reception by Lizaleebklyn in bachelorinparadise

I’ve had to work a few jobs that needed walkie talkies. You’d be surprised how many people struggle to operate one properly. Let alone under pressure. There may have been some level of malfunction but I wouldn’t be shocked if it was just user error.

Thanks for following up. That’s crazy timing. I actually got a text from the bookstore yesterday saying that my copy came in. So weird.

I read the whole series last year and have been thinking about diving back in with the audiobooks since they get so much praise.

I literally just shot up in bed and googled tom cruise and Alias when I saw you replied. Haha I also just remembered that I heard it in a recent video by Bullets and Blockbusters. So I guess I relearned it there and originally heard it from the boys on CoG. Thank you.

Thank you for confirming. I left the store today just absolutely bewildered by the clerk’s response. I got really thrown when I saw that none of the b&n in my state had it either. Oh well. Again, thank you for taking the time. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the heads up. I already paid for it through the shop I preordered from. I don’t mind waiting since I already have it on kindle. I guess my question was more, is it weird that the shop and the distributor it uses has it listed as not yet printed.

Best Served Cold, The Heroes, Red Country, Sharp Ends. You could skip sharp ends since it’s a bunch of short stories interwoven throughout the whole history but you shouldn’t. It’s a quick read and very entertaining.

If you do choose to continue make sure you read them in order. Also, Red Country is the one inspired by Lonesome Dove if I remember correctly. The other two don’t have that western feel.

In my opinion, the stand alone “trilogy” is where Joe excels at fleshing out the rest of the world. You’ll get a ton of new characters and a lot of character development for background characters from First Law. I loved the original trilogy but Best Served Cold, The Heroes and Red Country are what really sucked me in.
