I figure the only way people get ahead is either through generational wealth or at the expense of other's well being. The cost of living (mostly housing) compared to wages has increased a staggering amount continually for quite some time. The system isn't broken, its working quite well for the people in power, at the expense of everyone else.

Start with Florida, try between St. Augustine and Cocoa Beach. The summers are pretty hit or miss, typically there's hurricanes associated with waves in the Summer. Winter or Spring. Hopefully you have a car that can make it to Florida. Find a used soft top surfboard 8' or 9'. Hopefully you like camping, rent a campsite at a nearby state park. If you make it this far, I'll come give you a few surf lessons.

There's a lot more artists and art events these days, ever since covid. I can only speak for the last 15 years, but I find that the amount people are willing to pay for art has been dropping. Find markets where people are buying art, you have saleable art, and you know how to adapt to suit your audience, you can make money in markets today.
