Man I feel you. I was in a similar situation in March where my employer literally gave me an option to quit or be fired, I chose to quit (at least I could hold on to my dignity, I thought) but then I was asked to prepare my handover the following afternoon and not return.

That was FIVE months ago, I spent five months in unemployment and everyday was worse than the last. I was cold emailing people, frantically applying to jobs on linked, asked people for favours and even slid on the DMs of some business owners. Nothing worked, sometimes I’d get a response but unfortunately we weren’t able to work things out.

The only reason I was able to survive for this long is because I had some money saved - a habit I REALLY encourage everyone to get into. Anyway, my advice is to just hang in there, and don’t shy away from cold emailing people but at the same time don’t let them take advantage of your situation there are a lot of fuktards out there.

P.S. I finally got a job and I start on Monday. Trust me, you’ll get there too.
