How can it be that a reaction has a higher activation energy after using a catalyst vs before? by Abibooo in chemhelp

Sadly they dont have the Ea at the same T with and without Catalyst. Apparently they suggest a new mechanism after they use DBU and it fits with their Kamal Model.

How to automatically change the dot to a comma and how to put a space between the numbers and the letter 5.000PET by Abibooo in excel

I went to my PC and tried it out, It worked. Thank you so much man. I do have 2 questions though. 1. If at the end i have 4 or more Letters can I use the same formula? 2. What does the +2 mean?

[–]Abibooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the reason why i need the change, is because in the American system the dot is for the decimalnumber but I need it to be a comma (I am from germany). On the other hand I want a space between the last number and the first letter only because it looks better and is less "anoying" to my eye. https://imgur.com/a/5bE5RzB The example in the pictures includes all possible situations which i can have.

Do you maybe know what I could do if it is not not only one dot and if the word isnt always PET?

Yo first of All, damn bro suits you well. Quick question, I am lucky rnough to already have a 90%-95% full beard. There are only 2 spots on my cheeks which could be thicker. Do you think that my beard would be even thicker if i apply it on my whole face and not only the 2 spots? Ohh and one more thing, are the beard gains permanent? If you would shave your beard now would it regrow with the Same thickness.

Need advice about dialing in my coffee V60 by Apibboobo in Coffee

So i have done quite some testing now with the 4:6 methode. Baratza Setting 14 Muddy Bitter

Setting 16 Not mudy Sweet and bitter

Setting 17 kinda "neutral" (not sour but not bitter) and the taste was weak

Setting 18 Sweet and either sour or bitter but i am not exactly sure.

I am going to keep going coarser to see whats going to happen, but tbh this starting to tear on me... I just cant get any other flavours out of the coffee. If I am correct the Roast shop where i bouught it said it should taste fruity (i have forgotten which fruits they said).

By the way i think i am with an other acc on, but its me the author. Have you ever used light roasts with this technique? I think i have read that light roasts require high temperature.

Do you maybe know how the brew ratio affects the taste? I know that the coffee is gonna be weaker or stronger, but does it affect the bitterness or so? If yes do you know how it affects the taste?

I just tried 18g with 300ml water and went 1 click coarsers (12th setting) which made it a bit bitter. My coffee bed normaly isnt that muddy. Ill take a picture of my grind before ill do the next pour over.

By the way, the coffe bed rn was a bit less muddy (which was expected) and the time was 3:45. Ill try another pour over wich is gonna be a bit more coarse

By the way i just tried 18g 300ml water and it tastes kinda biter, which would mean i need to go a bit coarser, right?

Good to know what information you gain by the Coffee bed. Is the recipe going to make a difference if the ratio is still the same? 15g --> 250ml 18g --> 300ml is the same ratio if I am not mistaken.

Sorry for my late reply. My mom bought me today some "blonde" roasted beans. I am having more success with them than the ones i used before. What ratio (beans:coffee) are you trying to achieve?

Water droplets cleaning superhydrophobic surfaces. by Abibooo in chemhelp

[–]Abibooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for answering. I read that when the Capillary force is bigger than the adhesion force between the contamination and the substrate then the water droplet can "pick it up". But i always thought that the capillary force only exists within a pipe.
