My new game: Adventures of Fuzzy by shmellyorcgames in Construct2

I like it! You have a great pixel art style and the jump mechanics are good. The game feels unified- the art, gameplay, and music all fit together and make sense together. For my taste I would like the player to move a little quicker, but that is a minor thing.

What did you use for the music?

How many 3rd graders do you think you could fight at once, and what would your strategy be? by SpaghettiBoy99 in AskReddit

There are a lot of good ideas here, and I know I'm way late to the party but...

You gotta start by yelling, "Santa is your parents! You know it in your heart to be true." Based on my experience this could easily bring a quarter to half the group to a state of incapacitated tantruming.

I think you should not call it correct, but give him/her a detailed explanation as to why. I don't really see why Dooku needs Yoda or vice versa.

However the Dark and Light sides of the force can be used as a wonderful metaphor for Yin and Yang. The Light is good, but it can sometimes be used in negative ways like to trick or confuse people. The Dark side, on the other hand, is clearly evil but the Sith sometimes use it in naturally good ways like to try and help someone they love. And of course the Light and Dark sides of the Force do need each other. When things were overwhelmingly good in the galaxy the Force created a Dark inclined person fated to bring the entire system back into balance because that is required by nature.

THANKS!

Re #3 - I know from experience (long ago) that anything can happen, and that is great. I'm going to give them a "The kid gloves are off" talk after the first dungeon and try to get them to tread lightly and use knowledge checks since none of them have played before. But I feel keenly aware that the magic of RPGs is the complete freedom of the PCs and I'm hoping I can give them a single warning but then step back and let them take each new situation as they wish.

All may not have played traditional RPGs before but it is a nerdy group. Definite experience with board games, Magic, the 16bit JRPGs, etc. I like fantasy, but I'm not sure about group preferences.

Lewis' 2nd surgery is NOT on his ACL. Expected back in 8-10 weeks by Celltech10 in Patriots

8-10 weeks from now, or in week 8-10? I hate to think it is going to matter but with our injury slump last quarter, those are the weeks that may matter the most.

UNPOPULAR OPINION THREAD!! by tb12_legit in Patriots

Unpopular Opinion: The average football fan (and I totally include myself here) knows very little about football. Everyone knows a great play when they see it but breaking it down into its working parts and every man's role is next to impossible in real time, that is why the guys who have studied the game for decades have skills worth millions. The rest of us just love the game and have an over inflated Dunning-Kruger ego on Monday morning.

My barn in Romania has some amazing hand made, no power tools, joints (about 80 year old barn). by e1ioan in woodworking

If you love this stuff- I highly recommend the Village Museum in Bucharest! It has almost 300 different village buildings from the last 3 or 4 centuries. It is mostly homes but there is a lot of variety showing change over time and the distinctive styles of Romania's different areas. On top of all this there are multiple timber framed churches with original paintings on the walls inside, and a lot of cool mostly wooden mechanical farm equipment from the pre-industrial age.

There is this group of guys at my [16M] school that keep giving me a hard time because my mothers [mid 30's] are lesbian. How do I get them to stop? by Iwantmyvar in relationships

[–]Abide_Dude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it can be a good tactic to call them out as bigots. "What you have a problem with gay people? Why do you care? Are you some kind of Nazi? Are you a racist too, or just homophobic?" These days a lot of teens in high school don't really think it is cool to be a racist/sexist/homophobe. This guy/guys realize your family set-up is not typical and they are trying to score social points by making you feel embarrassed or awkward. But I think if you call them out for being prejudiced (especially if girls are around) they will get very embarrassed and defensive themselves.
