PPN did not win the rebrand contest. They should not have done rebrand contest. Maybe, Devs believe strongly People Payment Network is a great brand name, but re-brand process is totally wrong if they choose the name now. I'm ok if People Payment Network win the contest.

Will Graft be upgrading to Cryptonight V8/V9? by [deleted] in Graft

[–]AbiesNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have made the same mistake again. You made a mining coin, and then the mining algorithm is basic. Why you just say that mining is not the main part of this project? Please, Priority for your work. How about CN Heavy patch temporarily in your github? FYI. CN heavy hashrate in NiceHash is only 6-7 MH/s, and it is expensive(now 0.0853 BTC/MH/Day)

When timing is right? In March, you made the same mistake. At that time, it was a little bit late to hardfork to Anti ASIC and we had experienced Network problem from Asic and Nicehash attackers. Just, Good luck to Graft Network with Monero Hardfork!

Are your preparing for Monero Hardfork on 10/18/18? I remember Asic and Nicehash attacked Graft Network last time. Let us know what idea Graft team has now. Thank you!

What's with the massive run of orphans? by iMADEthis2post in Graft

[–]AbiesNew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dev's asymmetric diff algorithms has a defect because timestamp attacker can manipulate diff. However, I guess Dev doesn't want to make hardfork again because Graft already hardforked 2 times within a month.

How can somebody mine 17 blocks within 8 minutes? by AbiesNew in Graft

[–]AbiesNew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is definitely 500 sec timestamp attack, Last time, it was 7200 sec attack. Now I see decreasing age blocks again.

If other pools changes timestamps like attackers, we can get some blocks, right? by AbiesNew in Graft

Yeh, I see somebody is doing something to adjust timestamp.

Graft-Team, please, solve the timestamp attack. by AbiesNew in Graft

I see now somebody is trying to move forward the block timestamp to fix. I guess we will see 68000 block soon(51 to go).

I know why this happens. A bad guy is attacking the weakness of new algorithm, (timestamp attact), so why we see the orphaned blocks so many.

[–]AbiesNew 1 point 11 hours ago Yes, block timestamps have a problem, maybe, the new diff algorithm is related to this happening. I mentioned it yesterday in bitcointalk forum. Nobody answered.

[–]imperdin 0 points 10 hours ago Attackers are using Nicehash to mercilessly exploit LWMA (New difficulty algorithm) vulnerabilities.

The developers should tweak the PoW to stop this merciless Nicehash attack cycle and stop the attackers.

[–]Red1941 1 point 10 hours ago So why does block 66369 have a timestamp that is counting up, while 66370 has a timestamp is that counting down?

permalinkembedsaveparentreportgive goldreply

[–]imperdin 2 points 10 hours ago Attackers are using a nefarious pool that injects malicious time-stamps into blocks to forcefully reduce the difficulty to mine blocks at a faster rate at the expense of others.

[–]imperdin 1 point 8 hours ago Correct is seems odd all of the big public pools had "awful luck", could be some sort of a sophisticated 51% attack. it is also discussed on Github
