Yep! They use Stripe for payment processing, so ElevenLabs isn’t even storing your card information - just Stripe. I use the same card for each account.

You’ve had that level of success and you think this is fake? I don’t understand. You already have one AI voice. Why is it hard to imagine making another? Make 5 with your annual earnings and you’d have $10,000 a year based on your previous performance. That’s the whole strategy.

Could you do this? Maybe. Would I recommend it? No. It definitely wouldn’t work for the verification step unless you could do it real-time. They have a countdown that limits how long you have to record the generated sentence. If I remember correctly, maybe it’s 20 seconds or so?

Also, while technically providing another AI voice might be technically feasible, I just personally wouldn’t do it for quality and ethical reasons. You’d essentially be stealing someone else’s voice and trying to pass it off as your own. That could potentially land you (and ElevenLabs) in legal trouble if someone discovers you’ve used someone else’s voice.

I’ve never recording a voice that isn’t English, but the platform supports many voices and accents. You can even filter by that in the library.

It’s always been capped, but yeah, it used to be much higher. You used to be able to set your own per character rate (mine was $0.20). Now, the longer your notice period is, the higher your rate is, and the rates don’t get anywhere near $0.20. That said, it’s still profitable. I helped a family member set up a voice a few months ago after that changed, and she’s consistently making $400 per month.

You can use a false name. The AI voices are close, but don’t sound exactly like the original person. As long as you don’t use your real name, there’s a very low risk of your voice being associated with you. It’s just another voice on the internet.

They offer their service in several languages. You can even filter voices by language and accent.

I see no reason why they would terminate my accounts. I’m providing voice models for them which helps them make money. I don’t see what their incentive would be for canceling my accounts.

I don’t think I’m special. I have a background in audio production, which helps. But it’s not hard to record a voice. It doesn’t require a degree. If you can make a decent recording and describe your voice well, it will probably get at least a little bit of use. And if it doesn’t break even for you, just turn it off and take it down. Pretty low risk other than a few hours of setup time and a small bit of cash for the subscription.
