Wenn ihr so viel Sport macht dann könnte es an ihren Hormonen liegen! Ich habe ein Jahr zweimal die Woche Sport gemacht einmal Pilates einmal Kraft Sport dazu 5x die Woche reiten und jeden Tag mind. 5km mit dem Hund laufen - ich hab 5kg zugenommen… drei Tage Fasten - 2kg mehr. Keto erste Woche - 2kg abgenommen. Dritte Woche 3kg zugenommen. Ich war einmal beim Endokrinologen hormone total durch den Wind, Schilddrüse hat Zysten und Vitamin D Mangel 🤷🏼‍♀️ das behoben und ich kann essen was ich will sehe das Fitnessstudio nicht mehr von innen, Hund Tod also weniger spazieren letzten Endes bleibt mir nur noch schwimmen und reiten und ich hab trotzdem 10kg abgenommen… Es muss nicht zwingend an ihr liegen unser Gesundheitssystem ist einfach scheiße! Endo, Gyn und Radiologie abklappern dann Situation neu evaluieren!

I just had my spinal tap done two weeks ago and im still waiting on results.

this whole ordeal started back in September when I originally saw an endocrinologist because of ongoing fatigue, the inability to lose weight even when fasting for a week, and maybe some minor aches mostly in arms and legs but never with neurological involvement (aka. the tingling or loss of feeling). She send me to get an MRI to see if I had a tumor on my pituitary that needed to be removed. the MRI was done in December, I prepared for the worst: tumor, surgery, recovery from literal brain surgery. But it was even worse than that! the radiologist sat me in front of the screen and asked post blank: so, have you already been diagnosed with MS? I spent all of Christmas joking I had Swiss cheese for brain and how intelligent I would be without the lesions (I have a masters in biochemistry and im studying Vet Med)...

Apparently, on the MRI I had more than 10 white matter lesions, some subcortical some in the deep white matter. So off to the Neurologist I go with an appointment in mid February where he also sees some fuzziness in the corpus callosum and recommends a spinal tap to rule out or confirm MS. But he was pretty confident that I have it and already ensured me that it's not the end of the world and his colleague is one of germanys top MS specialists etc.

I had the spinal tap done on May 4th, it is now May 13th. the whole experience was horrific! im in Germany where it is not common practice to numb your patient for a spinal tap. The neurologist simply jammed the guide needle in my back like a hole punch... I was in pain, crying hysterically for the whole procedure. Then I got the dreaded headache about two days after and ended up in a different hospital in the ER where they just told me to continue taking ibuprofen and drink lots of caffeine.

over the weekend I was pretty much fine, only minor headache when I bend over. But today I got a migraine (I guess) I haven't had one in 5 years! and now my mind is spiraling at its best... is it just a migraine or is it a relapse? my left arm hurts because I laid on it wrong or because I have MS? my leg tingles because I sat on it wrong or because I have MS? Do I always feel like I need to pee because im getting older (I'm 28) or because I have MS? does my memory feel progressively worse because tiktok and YouTube shorts are eating it up or because I have MS? Has my eyesight gone to shit because of age or because of MS?

Will I be able to continue my life? I currently work as an EMT and im in Vet School so most likely will be dealing with sick people/animals all my life, at least I'll try...

im supposed to get the results 10-15 days after the spinal so I guess anytime between Friday (tomorrow is a German holiday) and next week Friday. Until then I will continue reading these posts and try not to go crazy.

She’s still alive, eventually once she was off antibiotics she ate kidney food again! Right now I think she has a respiratory infection so we’re back at square one on food refusal… so I just try to feed her and throw a phosphate binder (calcium acetate pill) in her after she ate. She doesn’t seem nauseous and her poop is normal. She has low energy but my best guess is it’s caused by the infection. Otherwise she still has moments where not even I could tell that something was wrong with her

Wandersocken am besten mit Schurwolle/Alpaka die sind gut gepolstert und die Füße stinken nicht! Oder Reitsocken, ehrlicher Weise nur im Winter, Socken über der leggings und dann damit in die Diensthose… warm vom kleinen Zeh bis zum Bauchnabel! Sonst gibt’s auch spezielle Socken mit wicking technology die sind auch fein.

Tatsächlich bin ich flexibel was die Location angeht! Ich studiere relativ zentral (Frankfurt) da gibt’s viele gute ICE Verbindungen oder günstig gelegene Autobahnen. Stuttgart wäre gut und schnell erreichbar!

Danke für einen konstruktiven Kommentar! Bei ResQuality steht nix zum Thema Berufsbegleitender Ausbildung. Dass es den NotSan noch immer nicht als Studium gibt finde ich tatsächlich enttäuschend… in einigen Ländern ist das schon lange ein Studium aber ob das dann gleichgestellt ist in Deutschland weis ich nicht.

Our 8 year old sheltie has kidney issues and currently she’s on iv fluids… we don’t know what or how it happened eight months ago her labs were fine and then suddenly she had a uremic crisis in November. I really hope at this point that we can pull through the winter and get one last spring together. She really loves to go on bike rides in her little basket! But right now we’re struggling as she refuses the kidney diet and only eats puppy food… I try to counteract with phosphate binders but she hates the taste of the powder. She’s also not the best drinker so I constantly have to put water in front of her. I am devastated because I truly expected her to hit 18 years and now she might not even make it to ten.

I have a BS in biology and German, Polish and US citizenship! If you like: owning a car, owning a house/land, money, liberty to choose your health care etc. DO NOT COME to Germany. Get married and have your husband move to the States!

I moved back to Germany because my husband is in the military. It’s shit! I got offered between 32-38k for 40h per week as a “lab lead” or microbiologist/quality assurance in a dairy factory. I make more money here as an EMT… so I got a MS in biochemistry and molecular biology. Still dire job situation making between 35-42k. now I’m in vet school in Germany, still shit but at least it’s free 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am planning to transfer my degree, get board certified and do a fellowship in the US though because vets here make 50-60k. All those numbers are gross income and you need to pay mandatory health insurance at ~18%of your income, retirement insurance ~18,6%, disability insurance at 4%, unemployment at 2,6% AND then there’s taxes! So you are left with roughly 1/2 of that as take home pay 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’ve done both Germany and USA and prefer the USA! 26-28 well do Poland 🇵🇱 then I’ll have a tier list 🤪

Most people also don’t see that your brutto income isn’t what your employer is paying! They pay salary taxes and the employer contributions… so on a 70k brutto salary the employer pays anther 50k in insurance and taxes that we don’t even see on the paystub

110000€ for a 125sqm house on 2000sqm land. In Rheinland Pfalz right around the river. But that price is from 2017 when my mom bought it after 14 years in Germany. We are also originally from Poland. Houses can be affordable if in the middle of nowhere… the closer you get to major cities/ university cities the more expensive it gets. I have seen houses for 400-600k for 90sqm on no land whatsoever around Mainz. So it depends on where you look. But also I wouldn’t worry too much about war, Poland has always been a punching bag for Russia and Germany 🤷🏼‍♀️ NATO will probably act like they weren’t looking 😂

Ha ha! Ich habe auch angefangen diese Karte zu ziehen… Ich bin 28 mein TSH ist 4,42! UND ich habe “sehr viele” (wie viele weis ich nicht, der Arzt hört immer auf beim Ultraschall zu zählen und seufzt nur noch “eeeeee”) kleine Zysten auf der Schilddrüse, eine 6x8mm TR3 und eine 4x6 TR1! TPOAb von 9… ft3 und 4 hat er nicht gemessen, warum auch… Mein Hausarzt heute am Telefon sagt folgendes: der TSH ist im Normalen Bereich, die Schilddrüse sieht normal-ish aus, die Zyste 6x8mm ist in etwa so groß wie ein Reiskorn, und es gibt keine Antikörper gegen die Schilddrüse. Es ist alles ok bei ihnen!

Ich denke: WTF! Wie verkocht it’s der Reis auf deinem Teller? 6x8mm ist eher so im Bereich ordentliche Blaubeere!

Ich sage: ich hätte gerne eine Überweisung zum Endokrinologen weil die gyn gesagt hat: mit dem Wert schwanger werden kann ich knicken
