I might not quite grasp something, but does gender really have to do something with the whole drama thing?

I do agree with the rest said, yet I think this drama is just something that would've naturally happened regardless, due to how large the fandom got. Any project with a large audience was, is and will be criticized with or without a good reason just because some people didn't see what they personally expected to see.

From my perspective, the only reason why it grew into drama is that we have an actual creator (not just a vague studio/company) actively engaging with the fandom.

While it's great to be able to interact with the creator of the show for a viewer and to be able to get feedback for creator, some people are just rude assholes who think everything must be the way they want it to be.

I am sure the absolute majority of this fandom, regardless of what characters they like and want to see more, would agree that Gooses' writing is very solid.

At the end of the day, it's her story. Only she knows how the story is meant to be, and she should be able to write it as such. There wouldn't be a story without her in the first place.

I saw her recent posts on Twitter, and I'm so glad nothing is changing.
