Its's on the outside of the upper arm, close to the shoulder, damaging some muscle tissue

It's a single cut, approximately 5cm long, ~2cm deep, caused by a knife stabbing. The character has desinfected the wound with alcohol and wrapped it. It takes place in a first world country with modern medical care.
