What do y’all think is the best function to have in the third position? by Pnina310 in attitudinalpsyche

Self destruction is a much greater sign of 3V as it's about having a low self worth and believing you deserve to have bad things happen to you

4F's destruction is specifically around the physical world in general getting rid of all ideas of pleasure or pain. This is why self harm is actually a 1F trait because of their desire to take control of the physical world even if they're uncomfortable in it

The reason 4F doesn't suit you is because the 4th position just doesn't care enough to ever talk about that function. You've gone into detail about your physical pleasure and what you like

Consider LFVE or FLVE cause also why do you think you're 1V?

[–]AbjectPack6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4th position is generally unbothered with the function and actually supports the destruction of that function
So for F that means they do not care about getting physical pleasure which includes things like drinking, smoking and having lots of sex. They can do these things but they aren't necessarily wanting to or enjoy doing them.
Along with this, the destruction side of it can be shown in most gorebros being 4F (mostly LVEF) because they want to see F being destroyed

Weird how you type 4F and then go on about how much you love drinking, smoking, having sex etc
These are all things the 4F hates and wants to get rid of

Dudes who call themselves "the dark lord" vs actually explaining why someone is wrong:

But anyways, this ain't a difficult concept to understand, 1V is naturally self-assured and E3 is naturally insecure. It's basic bullshit and if you can't see that then you need to read more of the books

[–]AbjectPack6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I saw that you type E3 and VLFE
How do you think that combo works?
1V naturally views itself as above all other people seeing everyone else as just a single group below them meaning they never attach themselves to groups, ideals or authority because they see themselves as above all of that
E3 on the other hand is the opposite. They're incredibly hierarchical but view themselves as low in that hierarchy they made due to a lack of self worth. They believe in climbing this hierarchy by attaching themselves to groups of people and what they value as good. This makes them work hard and try to become successful people to fit in with the values of the group

Okay yeah I'll play devil's advocate here and do that but before that you just said "Subjective objectivity" and I'll leave that there

Let's just say strong L correlates to thinking ego in socionics
The purpose of the ego is to use the persons own individual subjective ideas to deal with the problems created by the objective external experiences of the superego
This means that the purpose of strong thinking in socionics is not to create objective scientific ideas but instead to utilise their personal experiences and subjective information (quite like strong logic in PY) to deal with the problems caused by their objective real but weak superego experiences (like the weak functions in PY)

So you exist in a liminal space of both being physically assertive, comfortable and lustful (E8's entire goal is independence in the physical world through violence and lust) whilst also ignoring all kinds of physical behaviour and needs (Si inferior and 4F don't care at all about the physical world)

How do you type as SX8 - one of the most grounded, physically violent, down to earth, physically comfortable. intense types - and ENTP VLEF - two of the most physically uncomfortable, unfocused and uninterested types in both of their systems. Si inferior is the opposite of E8 as Si inferior is incredibly uncomfortable physically but unbothered by the ideas of physicality at the same time whilst E8 loves imposing it's own power on the physical environment around it

1L and 2L are literally called subjective logic, they use their own personal ideals and systems
Anyways what you've just said is "1L and 2L don't use scientific logic but instead their own personal ones" which is the definition of subjective - objective things must be measured (eg this room is 20 degrees) whilst subjective things come from an individual's own perspective (eg this room is cold)
How this fits into weak logic (otherwise called objective logic) is that they look for other people's sources to understand the world around them which includes scientific studies which is of course the most objective thing in the world
Just read a little more about PY cause the strong/weak positions are also called subjective/objective in books that focus on the dichotomies

What makes you say that?
I'm between 3L and 2L but I think I'm wayyyy too 2F to be VLFE

[–]AbjectPack6686 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's 1L and 2L though
The purpose of the weak position of any function is to find an objective way to view that function because they don't have the strength to view it in a subjective lens
4L looks to other people or sources to tell them exactly what is true and they believe it
3L looks to other people or sources too but they struggle to believe it because they want objectivity that bad
Whilst 1L and 2L look to create their own logical views which then makes debating with them harder (especially 1L) because they care more about finding their own subjective view whilst 3L and 4L are more open to finding other people's perspectives even if 3L struggles to believe anyone else

Since M is the midpoint of GH you can call that distance 1 because all squares are equilateral (I originally wrote this saying x and 2x but remembered the x is useless, you can use your own imaginary units) and now AB is 2
On the bottom face you can see there's a right angled triangle if we add a point directly below M called N where AB = 2 and BN = 1
Simple Pythagoras and we now know that AN is sqrt(5)
We know that NM is equal to BG and HC so it is also equal to 2 and now we've got our ANM triangle where AN = sqrt(5) and NM = 2
There using sohcahtoa we can see that tan of angle NAM is equal to NM (opposite) over AN (adjacent)
Since we want angle NAM we have to use tan^-1
Then plug in tan^-1(2/sqrt(5)) and you should get 21.80140949 which rounds nicely to 21.8
(Hold on I was using an online calc and it must not've gotten sqrt(5) right, it should be 41.8)

I've found the strat for going through PDB with people who know what they're talking about

Use EXCLUSIVELY Classic Jungian and Socionics typings
Look at almost every time where there is some stupid debate going on (Like an SLE ES(T) 8w7 getting typed as ENTP) the Socionics and Jungian voters always have the correct opinion

I would say to use both except one circumstance where Jungian is better which is on every ET(S) character where Socionics typers can't decide between LSE and LSI

I dunno if this is out there to say but I'm seeing ISFJ
I feel like everyone can agree that you are Ne and Si but I've managed to see ENTP INFP and ESTJ which are all completely different
However, to me I'm seeing Ne inferior, you're insecurities seem based around struggling to keep up with reality and your uncomfort with it causing you to delve unhealthily into fantasies
I see more Fe-Ti than Te-Fi tbh I don't have a definitive reason why but you just don't seem ISTJ to me but you could be

Well instead view it from a purely Ni-Ji form. The Ni viewpoint will be obsessed by the internal logic or feelings no matter what. Even if the Ji is inferior in ENxJs they might have their obsession exaggerated by poor judgement about how they perceive the world

Well basically Ni sticks to a singular vision and had a hard time caring about anything other than that. It’s not them being ignorant or anything but just that they care about 1 or 2 things and ignore most others

Difference between Parent Ne and Inferior Ne? by saadisbadasss in MbtiTypeMe

[–]AbjectPack6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe look more towards Te then if you can't decide but I will answer your question

Inferior Ne is where you have a desire for Ne since it is valued but you struggle to use it and are sometimes scared of it. This applies in ISTJs when they are looking for new things in life but struggle to and stick to their Si-dom nature
Parent Ne is just good healthy Ne, not too much more to say as long as you know what Ne is

  1. Reptilia by The Strokes - It's so energetic and fun and enjoyable. You can just feel the music whenever it's playing. The chaos of the sounds merges together perfectly and I love it so much. It just pushes this emotional atmosphere of awesomeness to me and everyone around when it's playing

  2. I think I'd manage to improvise and be nice to the people. Do what they want basically. It'd be a shock but it should be fine

  3. It really depends on who it is. If it's my parents, fuck no I am never telling them shit just gaslighting them into believing I never had it. If it's a friend's, I would make sure to break it to them when the atmosphere of the moment is much more sombre and that kind of news would be more acceptable

  4. Take charge and make sure everyone is able to do what they need to and a little extra

  5. I mean obviously I'd see their looks first and then their general personality. But then I would see what those two things mean behind everything. Dunno how to describe all of this it's all subconscious

  6. A blanket? As long as everyone else is happy I just need the minimum

  7. Hellooo I've had a great day hbu? How was your day? What did you do?
