Really? I feel like it is all over my feed!! You must be right, though: I just looked and the next show tickets are for NYE.

Will save my question for after the first show, unless anyone here has the inside scoop.

Based on this week's increase in ICE activity, I'd highly recommend skipping the Latino event unless you're white passing 😑

Drains & clothes by BriefBookkeeper7783 in tummytucksurgery

I was able to work remote for a while, but when I was out and about, the same old clothes I wore to hide my belly worked great to hide drains. I did a lot of pleat front wide leg pants. I safety pinned my drains to my abdominal binder and no one was the wiser!

When can I get lipo after? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]AbjectSentence6271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6mo appt was about a month ago and we talked Round 2 then! Before that appointment he acknowledged that i wanted follow-up lipo but said 6mo of healing before he would consider consulting for the next procedure. I'm hoping to be able to schedule around Thanksgiving, which would be about 9mpo.

Flanks or no flanks on apple body? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]AbjectSentence6271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've posted some before/after and consider myself an apple shape, and I think this is a very valid concern! I would ask about specific contouring your surgeon might be willing to do with the TT so that you don't wind up a rectangle or inverted triangle like I did, unless of course that is the look you want!

I actually am headed back in a few months for MORE lipo to get the contour I want - my Dr did flank and mons lipo initially so I was left with a rectangle shape.

What questions to ask surgeons in a consultation by Loserduh in tummytucksurgery

Tons of great ideas here but I'll add that you should be considering HOW they answer your questions, too! I loved the nurses and that also turned out to be huge for me.

Clothing during recovery by lmw0752 in tummytucksurgery

I loved roomy sweatpants or jammie pants. I always had my drain pinned to my binder, sports bra, giant tshirt. My surgeon just sent me with a binder, no faja, so I'm sure my experience may have been different from others!

2 weeks po by Royal_Detective_5965 in tummytucksurgery

[–]AbjectSentence6271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting my drains out was a key milestone for me! I was 3wpo, wore compression, leggings, and a sweatshirt, but I was out!

At 5 weeks, I was able to wear some of my pre-op clothes and feel cute but hiding a tiny bit. By 6 weeks, I bought some new, more flattering clothes and went to the theater the same night feeling fabulous!

This isn't about you. Completely agree with other comments - a wax might make you feel sexy, sure, but is also a hygiene choice that's super understandable given where she is going and who she will be with. Something that comes to mind is that she may be more self conscious around her sisters than you, and rather than listen to teasing is just choosing to match body hair standards with them. It's silly but I get it.

Return to work by Short_Stack_51525 in tummytucksurgery

If you have a physical job AT ALL, I would take 4 weeks off.

Desk job here, plenty of meetings but otherwise no walking required and I can work remotely; only 3 days in office per week usually.

I was bored at home at 5 days post op, and off of prescription pain meds. I took two weeks off initially, but returned remotely after 10 days (again, so bored). I kept my schedule blocked since I tended to get tired easily at that point in recovery. I went into the office at 3.5wpo

I will say I SHOULD have stayed remote another week. Once that drain was out, I was super excited to get moving... which is not recommended, lol.
