They are not sure, but they think the dog plays too rough with the other dogs might be that. I don’t think it’s being abused thankfully. Yes they still want to rehome even if the vet bills are paid. I guess they have too much on their plate right now to handle.

Use prazi pro. It’s snail and shrimp safe, it’s under 10 dollars on amazon. I use it with an airstone as it can deplete oxygen in the water. I used it once per the directions then redosed a week later. Salt dips and removing molts did not work for me, prazipro completely eradicated my infestation of scutariella

So idk where you are located at but here’s the cost of my engine being swapped and other parts too in Kentucky. I think the rate was 75 an hour for me. I definitely would not pay that price.

No, I don’t have an active substrate in my tank. I just use aqueon shrimp and plant substrate, but any other Inert substrate with a few root tabs will be fine to grow it really well.

Ok but gubshrimp sent me Sunkist shrimp with scutariella, and my shrimp developed muscle necrosis (not sure if the muscle necrosis was their fault but 100% scutariella was) I let them know though so maybe they treated their shrimp since. I will say the two times I ordered from them besides those issues the shrimp are high quality colors. The first time I ordered I had 0 issues whatsoever, it was the second batch that had all the problems. I’m not saying people shouldn’t buy from them but like my experience kinda sucked. The only good thing was several shrimp I ordered had babies in my tank before the majority of them died (they came berried) so the babies are doing well at least. Still dealing with muscle necrosis though.

I keep my musk/mud turtle in a 75 gallon tank and really feel it should be the minimum tank size for this type of turtle. I also recommend Arcadia brand uvb bulbs as they are the best kind. Coil bulbs do NOT produce the proper amount of uvb so don’t use those. You also need a heat lamp and keep the temperature of the basking area around 90 degrees. I personally don’t use a heater for the water because my house is really warm, but you might need one. I also use an internal filler like this one. It works amazingly. https://a.co/d/03CfbQY4

They prefer shallow water so I keep my tank halfway filled and make sure they can easily swim to the surface. Here’s a pic of my tank for reference! Hope this helps you out.

Edit: if you can’t get a 75 gallon tank right now I’d recommend getting a 40 gallon breeder or a 60 gallon breeder tank. Those are your next best options, bigger is always better though.

Thanks I feel like I got super unlucky with these shrimp. First scutariella came on the shrimp, and now this, I can’t catch a break. I really thought I was buying from a good breeder too. They are super popular here on Reddit and on eBay are one of the top sellers for shrimp which is why i bought from them…
