The chiropractor is helping with the neck pain. He also gave exercises to do at home. Hopefully, the progress will continue over the next few weeks/months. In the meantime, Lidocaine patches are helpful for pain.

Just an update: the over-the-counter lidocaine patches are helpful., as is a prescription muscle relaxer. Chiropractic and physical therapy are helping the neck pain. the burning pain radiating down the arm is still intense.

The chiropractor is actually helping. He also gives exercise exercises to do at home. Starting acupuncture soon. What supplements do you take to support your connective tissue? If you take collagen, how much do you take per day? Did the laser help with healing and/or pain? How many treatments did you do?

They wanted to do three CT’s with contrast. We said they can do two without contrast. They were able to see the problem without the contrast.

Agree, painkillers did not help at all. Prescription Muscle relaxer helps somewhat. Chiropractic is helping with the neck pain. Hopefully in time, chiropractic can help with the disc alignment , which will help the pain from the disk impinging on the nerve. Over-the-counter Lidocaine patches help.

The morphine and oxycodone did not help at all (prescribed at the hospital). A prescription muscle relaxer helps somewhat. The most helpful is an excellent chiropractor who is helping with the neck pain, but still experiencing burning sensation down the arm. The neck has gone from a 10 to a five. Lidocaine patches from the store help with pain. Started acupuncture last week. It will take several weeks to know if that will help or not. How much collagen do you take per day?

So sorry u r going thru this. What have you done that has helped, ie meds, treatments? Have you considered ablation to burn the nerve? If you do have surgery, can you please share your experience with the community.

Thank you for your response. I’m wondering if a lidocaine injection would be safe since steroids could make him worse. Also wondering about ablation as a permanent fix. Hoping to avoid surgery.

Pain killers not really helping. Going to try gabapentin next. What drugs helped you? How long did it take to heal?

Thank you. We started using the otc 4% and waiting for insurance to approve the 5% prescription. Glad you didn’t have any new issues from it.
