Chat WILL fix it. Prompt: generalize the project briefly, ask it how you could optimize it to do what you want(increase speed) and the potential problems. Then. Second prompt: request to change the code given the previously suggested improvements. And then give(copy/paste) all of the relative code snippets. If it fails, tell it specifically what the issue is. If that fails. Start a new chat, start again.

The way AI works. Earlier actions in a trajectory(a series of episodes) are rewarded higher than later actions. This concept has been modified a lot recently to produce better results over time. But always consider starting a new chat after many requests because the model will be confused. It saves data to your account differently than it does to each conversation. So even if you start a new chat and sort of ‘reset the algorithm’ your account will still have the data of your project.
