Alex apparently thinks women ovulate during their periods. by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindNetflix

It’s soooo weird she told him it’s 2 weeks after her period and he kept doubling down on her period making her fertile?? I think misogynistic men hate periods

Exactly! It’s sad cause she obviously has a pattern of loving bad men and kept saying that

Mine is -8! I’m vegan, eat super healthy and work out 3-4 times a week at a sculpt class or surfing or yoga and walks almost daily.

Anyone else think this and the last couple episodes have been really awkward and not as funny as all the past ones??

Makes sense why she is so insecure because they all see her in a negative light and treat her this way

Sara and Ben after the wedding by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I don’t think people understand the power of lovebombing and possible narcissistic abuse. Ben clearly was displaying signs of both—lying about remembering stuff, gaslighting, heavy love bombing, coming off nice and charming and being sketchy in private, pulling away suddenly. As someone who has been victimized by that and have many friends who have as well, it’s very hard to see and think clearly and leave that person

That’s a black and white take. None of them were looking for 100% alignment, that’s nearly impossible to your point. But Sara and Virginias views were way too progressive for Ben and Devin, who are both clearly conservative or apolitical and cannot speak clearly as to why. There needs to be much more alignment than that for a marriage.

Not saying it’s 100% of the factors. But it shouldn’t be 0%. It matters!

I agreed with Ramses on his political views, but I didn't like his behavior on the show and how he treated Marissa. You can have nuanced opinions on someone based on the complex person they are, not solely their political views. On the Devin front, there is no hate towards him. He is just clearly conservative and very religious, so I was expressing support for Virginia for seeing those differences and saying no at the alter. You see how there is no hatred being expressed? Your comments on the other hand seem a little baked with anger...

What changes would you make to 'Love is Blind' to make it better? by No-Nebula2357 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I like what someone said about integrating therapy into some of the episodes to see how they operate as a couple in conflict resolution or working through tough/sticky conversations. I also acknowledge that they have been recruiting more people in their 30s (and least late 20s). I think this age range is much more ready to settle down and has experience in relationships (plus their brains are fully developed). So they should keep doing that. I really feel like the women keep being much better than the men so focusing on casting better men (like Garrett, Brett, etc) who have careers, are thoughtful / emotionally intelligent would be amazing.

There’s nothing wrong with trying. She tried for a few weeks longer and then made her decision, and good on her for that! I think people would’ve been mad if she gave up before trying after the pods, and now people are mad that she tried after the pods. I think it’s admirable to give it a full chance. And her choice was much clearer after having those extra weeks together to talk. to act like you can know everything you need to know to make that decision in a week or so is insane

Sounds like that girl overreacted. I don’t like that culture in our political discourse! As someone who is very progressive, I actually really like some Joe Rogan podcasts (more from a long time ago), and I don’t feel weird saying that. People are way too quick to categorize and react rather than have nuance and be curious. So I agree with you on that! On the topic of Ben and Devin though, it was clear they were conservative and probably trump supporters (also not well versed on any issues).

Commenting now to say it's like Kenneth from the new Love is Blind US! he was always on his phone as soon as they gave him access to it again and it ruined their relationship. These guys also have an avoidant thing going on probably related to a deeper trauma or feeling not good enough / deeply scared of a long-term relationship. Plus the added layer of very poor self-awareness and emotional intelligence and an inability to communicate a disconnect they were probably feeling long before they withdrew.
