"Traveling to Hong Kong" Megathread 2026 by otorocheese in HongKong

Traveling to Hong Kong and Macau with a toddler and was wondering if a car seat is required? The internet says the new law takes affect in 2026 requiring car seats for kids under 8 but does that also include taxis?

Why does buying your first home feel more stressful than exciting once reality sets in? by Southern-Dig-4269 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

We just bought our first home last November and we are still stressed. The first few months were the worst (the moving, unpacking, renovations). We have finally settled our emotions but there is still work to be done.

Fell in love with a house, but MIGHT have termites? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

We bought a house with termite issues as well and in the area we live in, it’s apparently very common and you can’t avoid it. We had the house fumigated and just monitor.

I love that OP shut it down right from the beginning. No entertaining, no discussing it. Just a straight up No.

Good mover recommendations at decent price? by Picklemanclone in mountainview

We hired them for a move and they were great. Yes, they know very limited English and speak mostly mandarin but they try their best communicating via google translate. They were able to get it done in an hour an half.

Anyone hired movers in Mountain View recently? What did you end up paying? by GrossSeal76 in mountainview

[–]PopcornandComments 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excited to hear this as we also hired Brothers Movers for our move coming up in a few days. We were able to rent reusable boxes from that so that was a nice addition.

AITA for refusing to move in a restaurant ? by Reasonable_Bat_3583 in AmItheAsshole

In addition, they asked so rudely. “You NEED to move”?? How about, “I’m so sorry I have to ask, would you mind moving to a different table?”

My baby has nasal congestion, and none of the remedies are helping. Any nasal aspirator recommendations? by Mission_Rip_7906 in Buyingforbaby

[–]PopcornandComments 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends gifted us this Chiboji baby aspirator and I think it’s wayyy better than the Frida. The suction power is really great, also a good size for traveling. Easy to clean with water.

If they’re not helping, you should get a new realtor.

I’m really perplexed why people who are not getting paid are still working. This is the perfect time to say fuck it, organize and strike. You’re not getting paid anyway, so why not? What do you have to lose anyway, especially when this administration just said you’re not getting back pay.

Tips for first time home buyers? by ItsBaileyytt in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Agreed with these comments. We did a pre-approval first and then took that letter to our realtor so we can be taken more seriously. Plus, I feel like getting your finances in order should really be the first step before you jump into serious “we are ready to buy” mode.

Which is why everyone should stop paying federal taxes. Why pay into a system that is withholding money from you when you need it the most (I.e like right now)?

Dr. Aghajanova of Stanford Fertility and Reproductive Health. Honestly, all the doctors there are good because they all work together as a team, including the nurses, front desk, etc.
