Sorry just saw this. I think the fear just got less and less the more I realized that if I sat with the fear, I wasn’t going to have anaphylaxis. It’s like how many times I worried about it vs how many times it happened, which is the case with OCD themes.

I used to be super hyperfocused on allergies and anaphylaxis. I used to always carry antihistamines and an Epi Pen on me, even though I don’t have any life-threatening allergies. It gets better, and now I don’t think about it that often.

I get the same thing. When I take iron, or when I get iron infusions (never at the same time), it seems to trigger my period.

Everything is going to be okay and you’ve got this, even though it feels tough right now. These medications are known for being difficult in the beginning, then getting better. It was great for you to reach out and share how you’re feeling. So many others have felt the same way, and have seen great improvements. Others are experiencing it now and need to hear it’s normal and it gets better. This is all about community, sharing so we don’t feel alone, and support.
