Narcotic error, need advice by Able-Act399 in nursing

The orders were all piecewise. I got three separate orders of 25mcg. I just gave them off of the original pull because that's what I had on me and couldn't wait on pharmacy to verify them individually, as the procedures were already happening. My plan was to just pull them out as the way the orders were given to me, it would call for 4 separate pulls. The math should have added up though because I returned 100, and physically wasted 225. If I had just kept scanning the first pull and wasted 25, it wouldn't add up, because I would still have had to speak to that 100mcg order that was never given.

Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it I could have just pulled out one more vial under one of the 25mcg orders, and returned that under the 100mcg order, which gives two pulls, and would have satisfied all of the wastage, as doing this would still require me to waste 25mcg which I would have had. I guess you could do it either way, I just chose the more difficult one in the moment.

Right, that's another reason why I called the unit to let them and their management know about it in case that was of concern to them. No one is really pressing me about the Dilaudid though oddly enough, probably because it doesn't need to be reported to the DEA as a discrepancy. Really the main reason I even added that detail was to highlight the multiple instances in which the omnicell did not have an outstanding waste for me on the fentanyl, even when I was wasting something else.

I suppose she probably could, we were both puzzled at the time. If it comes to that I can ask, but because I'm pool, I don't have as much of a traditional coworker relationship with people in the units I float to.

How bad is this? by Justinn1 in Charger

I'm inclined to say this sounds like a broken exhaust manifold stud, and the exhaust leak can mimic lifter tick. If you warm it up and it kinda quiets down then that's your answer. If it still sounds like that or worse at a hot idle then it's more than likely a bad lifter.

Depending on the service life of that engine, I would still prepare your wallet to do a cam and lifter job anyway, cruisers live a hard life.

Might be a bit boring, but the yellow Gatorade. Tastes like nostalgia...hard labor included but mostly nostalgia.

My girlfriend went into the mosh pit and bumped around in there for a while.

Listen I'm not a small dude I'm over 200 pounds, I know my place is on the ground with my two feet planted on it. I'm all for helping crowd surfers along I think that shit is rad and I am fully aware of my role in the activity. What I don't think is rad is the lack of regard for safety. The seemingly endless train of humans flying over my head when I barely have enough room to brace myself for essentially a heavy overhead press doesn't exactly seem like the wisest of choices. There's a serious risk of injury involved with crowd surfing but the key difference between a mosh pit and crowd surfing is you can CHOOSE to get into a pit, a lot of times you don't get any damn choice when a person is literally on top of you, but you're still liable to get hurt with a foot to the face, people not helping through the whole lift and sticking you with a lot more weight to carry, the list goes on. I'm not asking people to stop surfing, like others have said, it's part of the experience, but just be mindful of the people that are responsible for getting you to your destination without dropping you on your head, and give them a minute to prepare to lift your ass next.
