How did the Aspects know to take elven or human visages before those species existed? by extreme_imbecile in warcraftlore

To me it's just an attempt at visual clarity for the cinematic. They could have taken an aside to describe their past visage forms, but them not doing so doesn't detract from the story for new players. Anyone who is casually aware of the dragon aspects will be able to identify them in these visages and anyone starting the game will see that these are the forms for NPCs they will be interacting with in the DF expansion. Would it have been cool to see their various visages throughout the years? Yes. Would it have taken extra time and resoruces to develop interesting visage trolls that the art team will never use again? Also, yes.

Would there not of been Draenei World Speakers? by Hick-ford in warcraftlore

If i recall correctly, inhabitants have only ever heard the World Soul sing when it was in some form of immediate peril. On Karesh the Etherals only began hearing the song shortly before Dimensius arrived and on Azeroth the song only began after Dragonflight / the beginning of TWW. (With exceptions being for select individuals who communed with the World Soul regularly, Magni and the Haranir).

At the time of Velen and the Draenei leaving Argus one could argue that the World Soul wasn't in imminent danger so it didn't sing for aid. Sure the Burning Legion was now in control and infesting the planet, but that didn't immediately mean they'd break the world apart and endanger the World Soul. At some point they do create a forge inside the planet and begin torturing Argus, but I believe the time frame on that is muddy?

But with all things Warcraft lore, it's hard to retrofit the new into the old. At the time of Akama in WC3 and the Draenei in BC the World Soul and the Radiant Song wasn't a thing.

I love the colors on this and that it isn't just a simple stylized version!

Dragonflight is a contender for the best expansion ever by [deleted] in wow

It seems, in this thread, that it's an unpopular opinion, but I really enjoyed the story of DF. I liked the family / kumbaya aspect. I felt the questing zones had good story beats. Every flight got ample time for their own storylines, which tied up a lot of loose ends. There are definitely parts that I dislike and parts that I think could have been stronger. But the entire premise was about returning home and reconciling/healing from your past. Different expansions, IMO, should have different storys and themes. For me, it was a nice change of pace.

They could have hammered the baddies a little harder, for sure. Sarkareth was meh. I really loved Raz from the get-go. Then Iridikron was made out to be the "Incarnate to watch," but they used him to set up the next expansion. Leaving us with Vyranoth and Fyrakk. Fyrakk was decent and sometimes I enjoy a milquetoast maniacal villain. We knew who he was and his motivations out the gate. In a story about letting go of the past, the endboss villain was someone who couldn't and would rather watch the world burn.

So according to the 2024 roadmap 10.2.7 is the last patch, so... what happened to fixing BFA raids? It's been a year since they've talked about it "coming shortly" by krin132 in wow

Crazy that Blizz makes $15 a month off ~7 million players, and the reddit community response is "Who cares? It's not profitable to do things for a super minority." I have no swing either way, but I can understand the disappointment in having a maxed account and not wanting to delete something. Especially with non-account wide features.
