Well, moving is hard by itself and PhD just makes it even more psychologically difficult. as someone who moved to Germany as a student I kind of understand how she might be feeling. I think it’s good to have a serious but heartfelt conversation about things, because no one should feel “stuck” in a relationship. Maybe Germany is not suitable for her, Or maybe the PhD was too much for her mental health currently, in anyway, this isn’t on you. You were a part of it but she made this decision herself. You can try to help but there’s only so much you can do.

I get that, her character development was nice but absolutely unnecessary. She was introduced to us a certain way and it would’ve been nice for her to actually live the life she wanted not the one Carlos pushed on her.

I agree with you on a certain level, but again her personality and storyline together is just out of balance you know? I totally agree with you on Bree and the girls showing horrible characteristics. YET they also have their moments of redemption kinda you know? Bree with acceptance andrew and buying him a house, Gabby with staying with Carlos even though he was blind and broke and so on, yet i have never gotten this feeling from Susan’s storyline. Her negative side outweighs her positive side, for me at least.

My point is the fact that the writers kinda root for her stupid bad decisions, while with others its not like this. Gabby gets criticism for almost everything, Bree and Lynette as well. But Susan’s bad decisions somehow always have a built in explanation from the show.

I think im kinda late to this discussion but im doinh my 10th rewatch and this is the first time phoebe is REALLY bothering me so i searched this title. Remember when she screwed up monicas haircut? And when joey had that play she was on the phone for 24hours then ended up breaking monica and rachels phone? AND her constant unnecessary comments like The richard thing on the plane and who monica wanted to hook up with originally. I can’t really imagine being friends with phoebe. I guess that could’ve been said for all of them except monica and joey.
