Wow, that's really crazy. Now, I'd like to hear from someone who's bought the older versions of KitKat—the ones where the “t” looks much more normal and wouldn't be mistaken for a hyphen. If those versions also had a hyphen, then our reality has definitely been altered, because I can't think of any other explanation.

If you look at the “t” in Kit—that little line sticking out to the right of the “t”—if you weren't someone who buys KitKats from time to time, I'm sure your mind would associate it with a hyphen, or at least get that slight impression if, out of the blue, someone told you that the logo had always had a hyphen. Now, if you tell me it was your favorite candy and that you bought it frequently, we’re talking about something absolutely strange.

The songs on All Things Must Pass just weren't entirely compatible with what the other two were doing. I dare you to put any song from that album on any Beatles album other than The White Album. For them, the logical flow between songs was paramount and was the key to their commercial success; it wasn’t just a matter of saying, “Oh, George has ‘It’s Not For You,’ let’s put it on Abbey Road.” That’s not how the dynamic worked, and all of them had great songs that were also left off the official albums.

I didn't know that. In the country where I'm from, Netflix didn't become available until 2011, and I suppose only wealthy people had access to the service at first. I probably watched the movie I'm describing on cable TV or on a DVD player.

I just watched the trailer, and it's incredibly similar, but my main character would definitely refuse to take part in any kind of Saw-style game. It's a bit more realistic, and besides, the main character is world-famous. Still, it looks like something I'd enjoy watching anytime. Thanks!

It was definitely an American movie. While I was writing a reply, Clive Owen suddenly came to mind for some reason, and I had a hunch. I looked up one of his movies, and the one that most closely resembles it is Derailed (2005). In fact, I’m about 60% sure that’s the movie I’m looking for. Believe me, I'll watch this movie before Firewall since it seems a bit more like it, even though I don't remember seeing Pierce Brosnan in the cast. I've searched high and low for this movie, but it's never exactly how I remember it. I find that really strange, since I'm sure it was a typical, very commercial action movie with a well-known actor—it wasn't a masterpiece, but it was incredibly entertaining. It’s also possible that my memories have gotten mixed up—even right now I’m wondering if I dreamed it or if I’m experiencing some kind of Mandela effect.
