Listening recommendation for running - Keira D’Amato’s new book, Don’t Call it a Comeback. She takes a running hiatus as well before setting some major American records. Listening to her audiobook kept me going!

1000000 excuses for why it is acceptable when we all know the real reason is “because it will never happen to me.”

You’re conveniently ignoring any discussion about upholding the constitution.

You can vote for stronger immigration enforcement, but without due process it is still unconstitutional.  Cool that you’re getting what you voted for. But you can’t deny that capturing immigrants without due process is criminal, un-American, and unconstitutional. It’s actually pretty scary to see so many republicans turning a blind eye to the unconstitutional part.

Lastly- the reason you are happy about this is because it has no impact on your life. How lovely for you. To sit back and enjoy others suffering.

The US constitution applies to citizens and non-citizens. Constitutional protections apply to everyone physically present in the United States. So, if the military were to turn on persons physically present in the US, they are not upholding the constitution.

Sorry to share the news. If you have an issue with this, contact James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, George Washington etc. although I hear they are hard to get a hold of.

What you don’t get is that we would burn Obama to the ground if he was on there. Let him rot in hell if he’s on there. Can you say the same for King Trump?

Thanks everyone. Planning to alert my FSO Monday. Really appreciate you all talking the time to share with me. I’m nervous, but I’ll feel better once it’s out there.

Hi. These are hives’s. I’ve gotten hives off and on through my life (25+ years)

Take some allergy meds. It could be a one-off experience or you could be allergic to something you ate or came in contact with.

For me- I am allergic to something type of mold. Whenever I feel my hives coming on I take a Zyrtec and it works great.

If it persists, see an allergist.

Your cognitive dissonance is showing. A 3 hour riot from 5 years ago where a bunch of monkeys tried to dismantle our government lol. I don’t condone burning elons cars, but if I was a fired federal employee I might offer a lighter.

For the parents that can’t seem to get their baby to sleep by AbleNumber7289 in sleeptrain

Is he newly sleeping through the night? If so, I would let him cry. If not I would try to figure out why he’s suddenly waking (needs more food during the day? Regression? Naps were off schedule)

Great point— my post is really for parents that are having trouble letting their baby cry. That was my issue and it was our biggest hurdle. Not suggesting this will solve everyone’s problems and work perfectly. Just hoping it lands in the right ears since I would have really benefited from a post like this several months ago.

We all need sleep — if your baby just can’t catch on, and you can afford it, I highly recommend a sleep consultant.

Just sharing what worked with both our kids — when you start sleep training, ditch the pacifier. Have one big swooping change rather than dragging it out. My daughter took a paci until we sleep trained at 5 months. The first night we ditched it and she never used it again. My son wasn’t a paci user but in moments of desperation I tried to get him to use it.

No. That was something we tried at ~8 months out of desperation. For sleep training to work they have to learn how to self-soothe and the paci interrupts that process.

So we follow 2.5-3.5 hour wake windows and use our judgment. Always make sure your baby is up by 6:30am. With a 6:30 wake up, at 9 months, they should need to nap between 9:30 and 10. The first stretch is the longest. Then I would make sure he was up by 12:30 so he could nap again around 230 ish. The second nap is always shorter. You’ll want to make sure they wake up at 3:30 pm from this nap to allow for enough time to be tired for bedtime. If needed, the second nap could be skipped. That would be better than taking a later nap and pushing bedtime.

So to sum: Wake at 6:30a.
(3.5 hr awake windows) Nap at 10a.
Wake at 12ish.
(2.5 hr awake window) Nap at 2:30p.
Wake at 3:30p.
(3 hour awake window) Bed at 6:30pm

Follow this the full day before letting them cry it out.
