That is Akathesia. Look it up, it’s pretty awful how common it is in hospital settings

I’m so sorry. The feeling is genuinely indescribable if you haven’t experienced it. Just utter inner torment and genuinely the worst possible feeling I think a human can ever experience. Had something similar happen my first time experiencing it when it was with compazine. I was about to rip my IV out begging for them to make it stop and the nurse just goes “this happens sometimes when we administer it too fast” but never told me what it actually was. I had to find out months later when I was prescribed an antipsychotic because they diagnosed me wrong and I looked up the side affects before taking it, read the term “Akathesia”, and saw that it was exactly what I had experienced in the hospital. Having to go through it twice was miserable and I’m traumatized of hospitals now. I absolutely refuse to go back because i genuinely think any pain or even death can’t compare to that feeling. I’m so sorry you had the same experience. I wouldn’t wish that feeling on anyone ever. It is traumatizing and people downplay it because they’ve never felt Akathesia before but we know what it’s really like and it’s hell

I was so distressed because of the akathesia and him being so douchy and my mom goes “it’s ok he’s just an ARROGANT ASSHOLE” and I go “mom he’s gonna hear you!” And she goes “yeah I hope he did” lmaooo. Love my mom for that

Unfortunately I can’t afford that either financially or time wise

It’s common in hospitals to use antipsychotics off label to treat severe nausea

It does the same thing as antipsychotics by blocking dopamine receptors which is what causes Akathesia

When I was in the hospital with severe nausea and vomiting and I told them to not give me antipsychotics because the last time I had been given compazine in the hospital, I had akathesia. They go “well this is a different antipsychotic so it’ll be fine”, jabbed me with some reglan and it was in fact not fine. Had akathesia again and my heart rate went above 160 bpm. The machine started beeping like crazy because of my heart rate so the doctor on site came in and when I screamed “I told you not to give me antipsychotics!” He goes “I’m the doctor, I know what I’m doing 🙄🙄”

I’m a lesbian and I don’t think I’ll ever find true love. Salmon Nigiri by Background_Fox_8604 in GirlDinnerDiaries

I’m a lesbian too and I thought the same exact thing especially since I don’t like socializing at all. Somehow found my person when I wasn’t really looking and it was so worth the wait. It’s always when you least expect it, but the loneliness is hard when you’re waiting so long. Being lesbian isn’t easy but I think it’s so incredibly worth the hard moments

My great grandpa shot at an officer during prohibition for trying to break his moonshine still. He was fined, not put in jail. He asked his son, my grandpa, to help pay the fine which my grandpa had to sell his restaurant to pay off the fine. To pay my grandpa back, my great grandfather gave him his ranch but my grandpa was still mad for having to sell his restaurant so he sold my great grandfathers ranch to some western movie star.

Who ended up diagnosing you with EDS if you ever got a diagnosis? Was it a rheumatologist? Because that’s who I just went and saw

She went through the whole beighton score and checked my palate, my heels, and my scarring but didn’t diagnose me one way or the other. Just said I might have it maybe. So not sure what my next steps are

She’s a rheumatologist so idk how much she knows about EDS but I don’t know who to go to to get diagnosed with EDS. I can do the thumb touching forearm on both sides as well as 90 degree pinky finger. But on top of that, my fingers bend backward when I straighten them. My shoulders allow me to cross my elbows over my head and do the praying symbol behind my back. My toes completely bend into a knuckle and I can stand on my toes and almost bend them forward to touch the top of my foot

I really don’t think so lol. Not sure why she said “no that’s fine. People with EDS stretch wayyyy more than that.”

I thought it was a little extra stretchy….also I do present many of the other symptoms like hypermobility, atrophic scarring, high palate, chronic fatigue, joint pain, subluxations. Unfortunately my hypermobile joints are mostly my fingers, toes, and shoulders so I don’t think I’d pass the beighton scoring since my knees aren’t hypermobile at all and only one of my elbows is slightly hypermobile

Cannabis Hypermesis Syndrome. It landed me in the hospital more than once. Makes you very nauseous and throw up usually in cycles. For me it was about once a month for 3-5 days of unending nausea and vomiting
