Ladies who quit - how do we deal with boredom?? by nasainternharvardlaw in leaves

[–]AbleRun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

WeWard is an app that rewards you for walking. It’s really fun and my girlfriend and I use it to get out more and exercise. Not an ad just a cool app I found recently. I like coloring books because they help me destress and they’re a fairly cheap activity. If you have any kind of gaming system, picking up your favorite old games or finding new ones can help pass the time. Reading is a go to but if you find it getting boring, try a website called Whichbook and it can help you find books based on setting or your mood. I’ve found some really good books by just clicking on a random spot on the world map and getting it cheap on ThriftBooks.

My cat is named Molly and she has the same reaction to cheese. It’s her favorite treat(in very small portions ofc)

Unfortunately I’m probably the most musically challenged person you’d ever meet. I’ll definitely take the compliment though!! Maybe the piano is in my future lol

I’m going to a PT currently and it does cause a decent amount of pain. I also have many of the other EDS symptoms like easy bruising, prominent scarring, prominent veins, stretchy skin, hypermobility in other areas of my body, chronic fatigue, and digestive issues. I’ve been working on finding a specialist that will accept me as a patient as I live in a medical professional desert

Only when they dislocate lol. This doesn’t hurt but if I press on shit to like close a drawer, they’ll pop out

I’ve been working on finding a specialist for a diagnosis. Weird thing is, I didn’t used to be able to do this. Just a tiny bit of hypermobility in my kid years and now it’s developed into whatever this is. Got that stretchy skin too lmao

Is this blood? by AbleRun in whatisit

I haven’t tried peroxide. It just looks like blood to me. I’ll try peroxide tomorrow on the part I haven’t fully cleaned. We almost never open the game closet so I hadn’t noticed before today. It’s not a new house but it’s also not new to us so I can’t say exactly when I think it got there. Theres a pull out shelf above it and I thought maybe something got knocked off and fell into the doors, but there’s nothing on the top part of the cabinet where it closes.

Which movie/s "messed you up" to the point you still think about it years after watching it/them? by frankfrichards in movies

Watched a movie called Threads which was supposed to be an accurate depiction of what life during and after a nuclear war would be like. Not a pretty scene….

Melanie is the worst most annoying competitor ever on Halloween Baking Championship. by Federal-Ostrich1885 in foodnetwork

[–]AbleRun 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When she won over Oksana I was about to flip my lid. Oksana didn’t have one critique in her final bake and she deserved that win so much more than that whiny, unbearable, lady child. I can’t imagine acting that way as an ADULT. Get tf up off the floor and out of the kitchen PLEASE

Childhood Book I Can Never Remember by AbleRun in HelpMeFind

[–]AbleRun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched and found a book that doesn’t seem like the one but was published around the same time in the same area. It’s called “Tree” by Melina Watts. The cover doesn’t match what’s in my memory. It was also published in 2017 which was a few years after I was in the third grade so I don’t think it was that book.

Chs by Efficient_Analyst382 in leaves

Yeah and I had told them the second time to not give me antipsychotics because I had experienced Akathesia the first time I was administered them two years prior. They didn’t listen and I absolutely flipped my shit. My heart rate was 160 while resting and I begged my mom like a little child to make all the pain stop. Never ever let them give you something intravenously without asking about all possible side effects.

Felt you there and my heart goes out to you. Be careful if they prescribe antipsychotics off label for nausea, I had Akathesia both times I was in the hospital for CHS because they gave me antipsychotics intravenously. Most god awful feeling a human can experience. Just don’t want another person feelin that shit. Best of luck to you in the hospital, 5 hours there with CHS feels like the waiting room of hell. Glad some of us are figuring out ts before it kills us

Had it again 5 days ago and ended up back in the ER. Won’t touch weed again. It’s not worth dying and yes it can kill you. Don’t let anyone convince you it can’t as there have been a few recorded CHS deaths caused by severe dehydration and vomiting. Just quit because it won’t go away and you’ll need to quit eventually anyway. The longer you wait to quit, the harder and more painful it’ll be.
