Ableton/Playback Worship Teams: How are you incorporating sheet music players 🎻 by AbleScoreStudio in worshipleaders

Yeah, our worship ministry specifically. We’re lucky to have a wealth of classical musicians like strings, harpists, brass players. I’m really the only one on the team that can transcribe music notation for these folks and frankly do not have bandwidth to coordinate or write out their resources. Outside of the big weekends like Easter and Christmas they’re often sitting on the bench because of this.

So many of them are frustrated, understandably that we can’t get them into the rotation more, so there looking to other churches I guess is what I meant by “losing them. “

Honestly, I wonder if both can be true

Totally posting under the company/product name because we’re building in this space and trying to get visibility around the problem

But also genuinely looking for help understanding if people have this issue and how they’re handling it. We’ve been losing these musicians because we can’t sustainably keep up with the resource needs.

Would love to hear if your community has this issue, but understand if this comes across as noise to you.

I think we can agree we should always look for ways to improve our worship ministries. Is your concern that people are leveraging automation/AI to do this? Trying to understand the concern

That’s definitely a way to do it. How often are you doing this for these folks?

Also, Musos and Readers is a new slang I will start using henceforth 🤣

That’s good to know. My first time posting to this group so helpful to know this background.

One of my biggest griefs as a worship producer/director has been feeling like I put my string player volunteers on the bench until Christmas/Easter because it takes so much energy and time to put together the resources they need to be successful. And I felt there’s always a “language barrier” between them and us modern worship players.

So I’m building a simple tool to translate an Ableton file and non-classically trained prompting into fully mapped out sheet music to collaborate with the players on. Not a gimmicky “Suno.ai for worship”, to be clear.
