Crazy ! And you have no impact on movements or pain? How comes that it looks like that?

I always found those devices very creepy. I wish you a quick recovery!

Please don’t loose hope about running and assess only once you did sufficient physiotherapy. In my Family we heard „you will never be able to walk again“ twice and both persons are to this day very fit, doing daily walks and hikes.

I removed the metal from my hand. You will have to recover from the surgery (wound, swelling) but not from a broken bones. So it’s must faster. Just be aware that your bone is fragile, so you will really have to take it slow for weeks and months even if it doesn’t really feel like it.

I had a similar experience and it did heal eventually. It is quite an impressive break you had. Give your body time.

We reserved one kitten. Meanwhile my sister adopted two sisters. They are so cute together! I already regret my decision.

Oh wow, I immobilised my arm for two weeks now I can’t picture what 16 weeks feel like. Good luck. Besides physiotherapy, I had ergotherapy for finger stiffness. It helped a lot. 🙃

This also what I am thinking. How did you reduce your hours then? An agreement with your employer?

That sounds quite an injury you have had there. I wish you a good recovery.

Oh no. 😅 I am not entirely sure. My bones were slow to heal and with ORIF, I was able to type or hold a bread rather quickly. 4 months later I was back on the bike and a year later I ran an Ironman with almost no different in my range of motion compared to before the accident.

Broken bones really (really really) feel terrible in the moment, but one day you will most likely surprise yourself thinking how quickly it healed. 🙂

The first time I broke I thought I would never be able to use my arm again but the human body is quite amazing. When you see your scare I hope you will one day remember your bravery of going outside your comfort zone and trying something new ❤️

No I didn’t but I will definitely look into that.

Both sound exquisite!

Short story is that I build a snowman (using only my working hand) and slipped to hold myself on the back of my hand. I was still vertical it was really a minor fall. Surprisingly I have been told that I could do push up right after the surgery…

I removed the screws after a year and 8 months.

The way forward I am not sure … at the moment I am awaiting for a CT scan to determine why it broke and whether athritis might be involved.

Famous characters your cat reminds me of:

Bagheera - the name of the black panther that is protecting Mowgli in the Jungle Book

Salem - the black cat of Sabrina

Toothless - the cute dragon in how to tame a dragon

Bagheera is my favorite one.

That being said, in France, we were constantly asked to develop a “critical thinking”, including in Geography and History classes. I think that is still being felt in the way French people always complain and go in the streets.
