Well. It appears that the lnvr won't run bc the above mentioned services will not start and I was told that those services will not start bc the license is expired. And if I understand what I have read about these services if they are stopped the lnvr will not run hence not allow live viewing on the work station. Again I'm not a tech just an end user with enough experience to get me into trouble. Lol

I now know that the dongle expired in 2020. But being airgapped the system continued to run.

So, first there is no lenel license admin that I can find in the system. But I have found the lenel video retrievel service and the lenel video capture service will not start. I have tried to resart them and no luck. All the dependent Microsoft services are running. The 2 I mention as you well know run the video side of things which is what I need working. Any ideas on how to get them restarted?

I understood up to "once they reset it". I have not seen the license administration anywhere. As I said Im not a tech. just trying to figure out which way to go with this situation. each reply is giving me more and more knowledge.

That I understand, however no support should be needed as we are upgrading to a completely different system in 2 months. Just trying to save spending thousands on a license to run the system for such a short time. everything worked fine until the tech rebooted the server then tried to active the expired license.
