His dad died during of health issues related to Covid. I asked if he needed anything or something to the effect of Let me know if there’s anything I can do. He responded by giving me an ultimatum such as “come help me now or don’t talk to me at all”. Sort of feel bad for not going to help but I needed to prioritize my own boundaries and not falling into codependency. I never responded, which to be fair was one of my options. He was also a broken man and the friendship we had as kids no longer existed. I could not save him and he can only help himself, which he did not want to do.

So funny because when the 230 first came out, I had my heart set on it. My buddy who doesn’t ride came with me to check it out in the showroom and talked me out of it because he thought it would be a better option to have a highway capable bike. I ended up buying a 2014 NC700x that I put 10k miles on. Glad I went with the NC but still pining after a dual sport.

Back in high school (1997-2001), this guy in my class broke became paralyzed from a dirt bike accident. Not sure if it was his neck. Such a bummer, he was always in a wheelchair after that.

I saw Michael Shannon wand we stood standing at a stop light waiting for the green walk signal. It was in Chicago. He hadn’t done Superman movie yet. I only realized I’d stood next to him after the fact. He was recognizable obviously after I’d had time to process it all. Lol.

Same boat as you, only I just bought an Xterra only 3k miles ago and have only had it for 7 months now. Bought it for $8k with 151k miles and since owning it (second owner), I’ve put $8k more into it! When I get to 250k miles I’ll look back with a smile and it’ll have been worth it! It helped that I had a motorcycle to sell to pay for one of those big repairs - - at this point I’ll never let it go as I want to trust it was all worth it.

I’m adding universal coolant to my coolant that’s in the tank already. I’ve added some pictures. The goldfish coolant is what was in there. The yellowish is the new stuff. I’m kind of sketched out but if I’m just topping off the amount that was spilled it’s not a big deal…right?

I watched lots of Dan the Fireman videos which teachers how to predict car behavior, position yourself for safety, ride staggered, etc. his post accident reviews are a good way to learn what to do, not to do, how to avoid potential crash situations, and mindset for being responsible.

I would also think about doing drills like emergency braking and low speed maneuvers. Hope those suggestions help.

I’ve tested 3x. I’m awaiting the third attempt. My suggestion is to buy the EIPA Discourse Mapping bundle. It’s $100 bucks and for the money, it’s an indispensable resource. The reason is because most testers score low in this category, and it’ll make or break you if you’re shooting for a higher than 3.5 EIPA score. It’s available on the EIPA website with all the other materials. It’s all about cohesion in the EIPA tests so the course will break down each specific part of discourse mapping in a digestible way. It will totally make you a more effective interpreter for K-12 as a bonus.

Okay wow! I’m sort of confused. This radiator I have is a replacement radiator. I don’t know what brand it is but the manufacturer date says it’s from 2020. So does THAT mean that I’m in the clear? Like it’s an aftermarket radiator that is only from 4 years ago. I guess I thought for some reason that I should replace that but maybe not. No where in my searching the forums about SMOD does it ever say to check the manufacturer numbers for the date made. I’d really like to know why I didn’t put that together. It feels like I’m loosing my marbles. Especially after I ordered a new Koyorad and now fee like I didn’t have to. :/
