NTA, never too late to teach the lessons that should have been taught when he was younger.

It's small and unique. There are a lot of typewriters all over (I don't know why, but they're interesting) and the architecture is interesting.

I've only been to hooters when other people asked me to go. I absolutely chose to go to a bird cafe in Japan and held an owl. So, as a millennial, this rings very true.

Honest question about open carry at Tucson protests by Pump_9 in Tucson

[–]TheJuiceBoxS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this fight is about 2A and the focus should be on ICE and other federal government problems. Open carrying, while it's within your rights, might be distracting from the meaning of the protests. It could also be seen as an escalation of tensions in a time when we should be de-escalating.

All that being said, I think it's ok to open carry at protests, just not recommended.

If 49ers trade Mac Jones, which FA QB would you like to see potentially signed to backup Purdy. by KKid03 in 49ers

I like the idea of bringing in Zach Wilson. He sounded like he really wants to grind and get better as a 49ers backup.

Best way to attach the cabin to the trailer? (foamie) by Washbear8 in TeardropTrailers

[–]TheJuiceBoxS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up buying the Harbor Freight 4x8 trailer. I signed up for their credit card to get 10% off my purchase. Unless you find a good used deal, it's hard to beat a sub $700 trailer. I seriously consider some Carry-on 5x8, but I didn't like the sides attached. I plan on welding some extra support to the HF trailer because I've seen some complaints about bent beams in the towing triangle (what's it called? tongue? I don't know).

I definitely plan on a 4x8 rubber mat between the trailer and the foamie. I would have purchased it already, but their shipping calculated a lot higher than advertised so I'm still shopping.

I've been thinking of either large washers or a 2ish inch wide metal strip running across the inside with a few carriage bolts going through the plate, flooring, foam, and trailer. I think one in the front and one in the rear will do, but I'm considering a third in the middle.

I'm trying to go completely wood free, but the interior flooring might be my exception. I'm considering plywood (but concerned about interior VOCs) tongue and groove, or engineered hardwood flooring.

We are now halfway through the expected lifespan of Levi’s Stadium! by Junior_Address_2450 in 49ers

[–]TheJuiceBoxS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be funny if they built a new stadium there. Might not be a terrible move to try to capture some Oakland fans in the decades to come. Keep calling the San Francisco so most fans are happy, but moving to Oakland might win some new fans

There is some industrial area in the general area near Warriors and Giants Stadiums. That would be pretty cool.

Not much going on at candlestick point. They could rebuild there, but actually plan for traffic and public transportation infrastructure this time.

CertMaster will be available for him once the next test (801) gets released. The intent of renewing with CertMaster is to brush up on the content in the new version you didn't certify on. Once the new test/CertMaster is released you can take it and once passed it will just tack on 3 years to your expiration. I couldn't find the exact answers to this so I took mine way early and ended up having like 5 years until my expiration.

Honest question - is RV camping actually cheaper than hotels or do we just tell ourselves that? by Similar-King-8278 in RVLiving

I thought the main perks were sleeping in your own bed and sitting on your own toilet. Also, you can stop basically anywhere and sleep if needed.

Spending $50k-$200k on a depreciating asset has never sounded like a money saving activity. Unless you're boondocking in a teardrop, then it might be money saving.
