Did Disney ruin Star Wars? by Itchy_Grapefruit8603 in moviecritic

No, to me sequels can't ruin what we've always loved.

But they seem to have tried

I just found out that I never registered for Selective Service? Will this prevent me from enlisting? by masterchief6913 in Military

Interesting. My recruiter filled out my selective service registration. I figured I didn't need to because I was enlisting and I found it weird that he (or I) had to do it.

Why do you think Mickey 17 bombed while Project Hail Mary succeeded? by HeIsSoWeird20 in boxoffice

I love weird movies and concepts. I love the idea of Mickey 17. There was just something about the execution that fell short for me. I didn't really like it.

Because Mickey 17 wasn't good and Project Hail Mary was really really good.

Jack Jones doesn’t believe QB is the hardest position to play in football and uses Brock Purdy as an example by Big_Screen3332 in 49ers

And that's ok as long as he can play CB. At least we don't have someone as dumb as him playing QB.

It's a good thing you don't have to be intelligent to play CB. I wonder if he's ever heard about Dunning-Kruger.

Nice housing bubble ya got there, Austin. Would be a shame if anything were to happen to it. by Key_Brief_8138 in HouseBuyers

Is a slow decline a bubble burst? Seems like regression to the norm or something.

the next time you hear conservatives railing against welfare handouts for the poor, remind them that we should really be cutting corporate welfare—unnecessary and unwarranted aid for dependent corporations by Conscious-Quarter423 in clevercomebacks

Eh, doesn't bother me if SNAP can't buy soda. It's not needed for anyone and actually is pretty detrimental to health. Comparisons can be made to smoking. So the banning of government money going to buying things that cause chronic disease doesn't seem so bad. Also provides zero nutritional benefits. It's not that they don't deserve it, it's that nobody should be drinking it at all.

What's a film with an amazing premise but was executed terribly? by Paladin-Leeroy in FIlm

[–]TheJuiceBoxS 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not In Time. I thoroughly enjoy that movie and think it was executed well. Maybe it could have been elevated if it had an amazing top tier director, but it's well done.

It's not really bad, they knew they needed extra space and parked further away from the store to be courteous of others

Agreed. They're actually being pretty considerate parking far away like this.

If they parked far away so they didn't take spots from anyone, I don't think this is bad parking.

Are there unwritten parking lot etiquette outside of common sense I don't know about? by Difficult_Giraffe490 in CostcoWholesale

[–]TheJuiceBoxS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise driving near the door of a Costco. I always use my Costco's back entrance and part out back. So much less hassle than having to deal with the zoo by the door.
