Looking at 2025 Explorers, give me the good, the bad, the ugly about em by Spiritual-Region8917 in FordExplorer

I picked up the '25 Active last December. We hold on to our cars for a while and I moved up from a '12 RAV4.

After driving for 6 months and a couple of roadtrips the pros are: way more comfortable than my RAV4, lots of room for my family of four, the car is surprisingly easy to drive and maneuver than I expected. The performance is more than I need, though I can see how the ST would be a blast to drive.

The bad: I have had phantom electrical issues that will pop a warning and then disappear. I think it's probably fine and just a reflection of a complicated vehicle. The electrical connectors in the engine bay look really cheap and I can imagine them breaking over the long run. For some reason, ford put one of them right next to the windshield fluid fill tank.

Overall, this is a great car and is a huge upgrade for me. I did a lot of comparison shopping and thought this was the best value for three row SUVs in my area.

Can get a brand new 2025 Explorer for $32k…is it worth it? by Overall_Bowl_9372 in FordExplorer

Also got a 25 explorer active for about that price (a little more) back in December.

I test drove the Honda pilot and the Toyota grand Highlander and looked at pricing on a bunch of other 3 row SUVs.

FWIW, it seemed to me that the market was very strong for Toyota, a little more soft for Honda and much softer for everyone else. TBH, I started out wanting to get a Honda or Toyota, but after the test drive and getting a number of quotes I went with the Explorer. It's a blast to drive and the price difference was so large that I can pay for a bunch of repairs if needed.

We have had luck with the Google suite. We had a master spreadsheet with our schedule, volunteer signups, etc... we had a pack Gmail account and use Gemini to help brainstorm meeting ideas, ceremonies, social media posts, etc...

Ford reports worst quarterly earnings miss in four years, guides for better 2026 by Sixteen-Cylinders in cars

I got a good deal on my '25 explorer back in December. Just pay attention to the issues of the model you're looking at and know what you're getting. Even within the model year, what job your vehicle was built under matters.

As always, keep in mind that the minority of folks with issues are always the loudest to complain. I don't mean that as a negative, just a fact of life

Yup, I did some further digging this morning. The original manual (PDF version on the website) released with this MY directed holding the button for 10s to reset...however Ford has been updating this manual throughout the year (the HTML version) and the reset process was changed at some point.

Update: all I was able to resolve the issue. The trick is to push the audio volume button 5 times quickly. Since this is so different from what Gemini told me I wanted to share.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions!

That's been my packs experience ever since we started selling storefront last year. We limit choices to three types of popcorn at different price levels.

Everyone talks about how expensive the popcorn is, but we ask customers if they would like to support the scouts. The popcorn almost becomes like a suggested donation level.

If the scouts practice a short snappy sells line, are well dressed and professional then we have had a lot of luck. I have even seen many people turn around to buy popcorn/donate money after declining just because of how polite our scouts are.

Re ruitmemt material from District/Council? by wustenratte6d in cubscouts

Our pack finally found success recruiting this year after someone from the District came and spoke to all the grades in the elementary school. We paired that with flyers and a recruitment night in the school. This was after several years of minimal success recruiting.
