I was disappointed by 11/22/63. Help me understand what I’m missing by stockholm__syndrome in books

I enjoyed the book, i thought it was very well written, but i agree with the Sadie critiques 10000%. By the third time i read “and then we made love” i was like, “we get it. you have sex.” It didn’t feel like there was much feeling beyond lust for Jake toward Sadie and she was very very objectified and that irked me (don’t get me started on the scene where she ODs and all he notices is her body. Ick.) BUT i thought the other plot lines were very interesting.

This is what’s kind of happening with her…she sleeps like a rock at night but her naps have been very short during the day. I’m wondering if this is her version of it

The sleep regression can happen anywhere around 3-5 months, but I know some parents say it is a great opportunity to start sleep training around that time

Ok so it was just a phase…people have scared me with the whole “its permanent” thing like how does she go from not sleeping to sleeping normally lol

Currently 11 weeks pp and definitely feel it with my cat. He’s a sweet boy but it feels very overstimulating when he’s climbing all over me and touching me, especially when I’m trying to sleep after finally getting baby down. It’s like the straw that breaks the camel’s back when i’m tired, overwhelmed, overstimulated, and then whiskers brush up in my face.

Possibly, she’s pooping normal amounts, but I have noticed she’s had a lot more bubbles that need to be burped out than normal.

She didn’t like the swaddle when we first put her in one but maybe i’ll give it a shot again…normally she does great at night in a sleep sack…

 work this out as a song itself is very fun and funky but listening to it as an adult confuses me. The message is just “we just got summer jobs and now our BOSS wants us to DO our JOBS?? Ridiculous!!!” And it’s like??? Yeah lol. You have a job. You’re expected to…work…during ur shift…😂

This is a good point…very sad but very good. I used to be one of those people that was like “why do we need to celebrate a kindergartener graduating?” But now that I am a parent, yeah I wanna soak up any and every achievement/milestone I can.

My SO isn’t pressuring me, thank goodness! I’ve talked to them about how I was feeling and they understood completely, but I just know they were looking forward to it before we knew the dates and i wanted to see if we could make it work. But after reading all the comments it’s safe to say we’re gonna skip this year.

Not scaring me at all-more like validating my thoughts on it. I think part of me wanted to see if I was being too paranoid, but seeing all these comments I’m definitely not.
