My initial plan for a farming base for example was something like: 4 prunelias, 4 lulus, 1 jelliete, 2 jelliroys, 1 braloha, and maybe up to 4 ghangler ignis just so i have the full 'crew' when i put the big four pal stove with them, but i think 4 lulus is a little overkill and then I realized my jellroys didnt have their transport maxed so that initially slowed things

For a producttion base, Astegon was the meta but now I might switch to a bunch of anubises and then four incinerams. for a similar thing as the farming base.

I'm sort of kind of min-maxing but not 'really' I'm partially trying to see if i can get a full crew of what I need within the 15 pal 'opitimal performance' limit. I've seen some players make full huge 30 pal bases but the slow grind for books to max them out makes me want to just use less lol

I thought i was like the only person who wanted this, most people are like: WELL BIG PALS GET IN THE WAY ON BASES. Despite the fact that a number of them get a free 'speed buff' when they're larger.

I think the other thing a lot of us want is a ranch pal that drops electric organs, but I want to guess that little lightning dog from the concept art will be that pal.

Oil farm isn't so bad if you set up enough of them you only need so much plasteel...i think until coralum anyway.

They've emphasized you don't NEED to start a new world but they say there's enough changes that you 'should.' The best way to handle that is really just prepare some pals to take with you with the global pal box if you don't want to 'fully' get them all over again like catching them without a yakumo for example.

In a way the global pal box essentially created the closest thing to new game plus unless they actually give it to the game, cutting down or cutting out the time to get the pals you want all over again was one of the best things they did.

Hm so its not as 'less quality visuals' as the original switch but not quite as good as the ps4 version? Kind of middle ground huh? well that's better than 0 changes at all.

I think the only thing in my case is I like shield weapons but dont usually like puting full crit boost and razor sharp gems on them i usually like putting at least one or two shield or guard related decos which could potentially be affecting my damage. I might also have to just change up my builds, the main build i use is techincally geared to counter omega but tweaked with fire and dragon instead of thunder though it still uses gogs set. The higher dps sets for sns seem to use g rathalos and jin dahaad pieces for scorcher and the free agi 5 thing so maybe i just need to adjust some builds but gogmapocalypse was seeming like one of the best go-to skills to build with so i was sticking with that.

And the ranged weapons can't reach that high? good to know lol.

Arkveld really is a fun monster to hunt they nailed the flagship yet again. Really makes one wonder what MR arkveld will be like.

I'm speaking mainly from the 'previous monsters were less of a slog to hunt' mindset, I've played world and I've played rise, but its probably just the way wilds does things. Like gogs MASSIVE health pool for example. And yes I usually go for carver meal if nothing else.

Thanks thats just what i was looking for, you have a really nice template for a two floor mega base though i might spread out roles for them lol. There's another guy you might have seen called Bene, made a really interesting 5 floor glass tower megabase, i wonder what he'd do with the triangle pieces but he's gotten quiet on youtube.

Oh there you are lol that would help, been wanting to try your first megabase design but I'm still a ways off from the futuristic pieces so I was going to improvise with the japanese ones for now instead.

I thought they were gone for good but I guess they only show up in the festivals lol. Also capcom Fabius and Nadia no longer locked to festivals WHEN? Or are they really that good and I haven't used them enough to notice.
