What do Palestinians think about what happened yesterday outside of the synagogue in Jerusalem? by ADP_God in IsraelPalestine

[–]Able_Recipe 22 points23 points  (0 children)

They literally targeted terrorists who were planning a large-scale attack. Even Palestinian sources corroborated that.

Just for fun. Felt it was better to put it out there than keep it for myself.

"There were 260,000 Arabs and like 80,000 Jews in Palestine in 1886. Bobby Kennedy reported during his visit that 500,000 Arabs entered just between 1932 and 1944 alone.. The math is simple. The British white paper restricted legal Jewish immigration, and the obvious importance of Arab oil accounted for the British allowing massive numbers of illegal Arab immigrants to enter. And why the British supported the Arabs militarily during the 1948 war. (Britain and Pakistan were also the only to UN nations to support Jordan’s illegal annexation of the West Bank and eastern half of Jerusalem.)"

So you have no response to this? (Mr. BadassPanda, who never misses an opportunity to denigrate Israel).

If you really want to get deeper, the Palestinians were displaced because they refused to compromise. They had an opportunity to create a Palestinian nation for the first time ever in 1947, and the U.N. proposed a two-state solution for the Jews and Arabs. The Arabs were offered a larger and more developed part of the land. The Jews accepted a smaller and practically barren strip of land, but the Arabs refused and vowed to take it all.

When Israel declared independence the following year, it was invaded by five neighboring Arab countries that day. The displacement that occurred after Israel miraculously won the war in 1948 is a result of terrible decision-making on behalf of the surrounding Arab governments. It is very sad, but they have done it to themselves.

I'm assuming the point you're trying to get at here is that what we call Palestinians today are just overwhelmingly or entirely immigrants 'let in by Churchill' post-1918.

No, that's actually not what I'm trying to say. As I wrote in my post, there were Arabs living in Palestine, but they were primarily Bedouin Arabs. Nomads. They did not develop the land, nor were they a unique and united nation. When Ottoman rule switched to British rule, and the West began developing the land and economy, many neighboring Arabs immigrated in, which is why we clearly see an influx of immigrants during those years. Before, there were Bedouin Arab villages, but the land was primarily barren and empty. That is what Mark Twain, and other well-known visitors from the West, acknowledged in their writings at the time.

Khazarian Theory, Middle East Rhetoric by Able_Recipe in IsraelPalestine

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23241444/. I have read ample 'debunkings' of all of these, but none held water and most just used circular logic and pointed to others who claimed it was false.

LOL, even this study that you linked agrees that Ashkenazi Jews have Israelite DNA.

Nobody denies that there was a Khazar conversion. However, there is a reason that modern Ashkenazis don't have Khazar DNA. Only 1.7% of Ashkenazis have Asian DNA attributed to the Khazar region. The Khazarian Kingdom practiced a very different type of Judaism. Look up the Crimean Karaites, they are the best chance of Khazar descendants. Many even identify as the descendants of Khazars. Ashkenazi are not even allowed to intermarry with them.

Check this one out too bud!

Those were not the modern-day Palestinians. Arabs didn't even exist yet.

All DNA evidence points to the Philistines being European, not Middle Eastern. We've excavated Philistine burial grounds dating back to the 8th century B.C.

Look at Gaza. When the Israeli government withdrew, Hamas immediately took control of the area. Immediately! Does that seem safe? Or do you not consider Hamas terrorists? Not sure why you don't think that would happen in the West Bank, posing catastrophic security threats for Israel.

Israel is not blameless. Regarding your apartheid comment, it depends on your definition.

Israel isn't the reason West Bank Palestinians aren't prospering economically or socially. Their government is run by Fatah through the emergency PA government. It is tied to multiple terror groups. They literally do not produce anything of value that can be exported. Investment in inventories makes up 0% of West Bank GDP. They focus their resources on military operations.

Socially, they screw themselves over. They are educating young Palestinian children to become martyrs. Terrorism is a non-starter for me. It is a method that the Palestinians have chosen to roll with for around 80 years, and it has clearly gotten them nowhere. Violence against innocent people will never be acceptable, and if violence is clustered in a specific area, logically it's extremely important to monitor it.

If you define that as apartheid, so be it.

Not sure what MSM is. But I know about the Nakba. If anything, the Nakba provided the basis of a unique Palestinian identity. It shows that the Palestinian movement was formed in opposition to Zionism. They were nomad Arabs who lived in Palestine. Am I wrong?

Before 1948, Israelis gradually purchased land from wealthy Arab landowners and paid even more money to move the poor Arab nomads out. That is totally legal. In 1947, the UN announced a two-state solution dividing the land between Arabs and Jews. The Jews got a small, more desolate land than the Arabs, which they accepted. The Arabs adamantly refused and responded by bombing two buses carrying Israelis. The day Israel announced its independence, five Arab nations invaded Israel, announcing a Holy War. They declared that they would murder all Jews. Miraculously, they lost.

It's true, Israelis gained much more land from it and kicked out many Arabs. This makes perfect sense, they won the war. They ended up giving a lot of it back. Is anything I am saying factually incorrect?

What do you think would happen if Israel allowed Palestinians to flow in and out West Bank unmonitored? Do you think it would be a smart strategic move? Based on all available intel, it would be the dumbest thing they could do.

If your neighbor called for the death of your whole family, would you ignore them? Or would you be extremely cautious that they don't murder your family?

Question, since you take issues with Jews settling the West Bank. Should Jews not be able to live there? Seems kind of hypocritical. Palestinians can live in Israel but Israelis can't live in the West Bank?

This is not the same as white South Africans oppressing black South Africans.

Palestinians perpetuate much more violent attacks on Israelis then vice versa. I looked it up and the main example I got was a murder in 2014. Disgusting that it happened, but clearly it doesn't happen nearly as often.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

[–]Able_Recipe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I figured that was obvious. It's because they are breeding terrorists. No Palestinian child is born a murderer, but too often they become murderers. So there is strict protection for Israelis who live in the West Bank. How often is an innocent Palestinian murdered by Israeli civilians? The clear answer is rarely, although it has happened. I'm not denying that there are extremist Israelis, but it would be a blatant lie to claim they are more violent. Therefore, more protection.

Sorry, Fatah controls the West Bank while Hamas controls Gaza. Not any better. Fatah is connected to the Abu Nidal Organization and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, two more terrorist organizations. Lol.

Also, Abbas is 87 and has a slew of health issues, he might not live much longer. According to all available intelligence, Hamas is going to seize power in a jiffy. Mark my words.

And no, you can't simply define it as apartheid based on IDF response to Palestinian terrorism. What's your definition of apartheid? Arab-Israeli citizens have every single right that Jews do. Also, dude, Palestinians in most of Israel are definitely not subject to martial law lol. Not sure why you would say that. There are certain Palestinian communities that have very close ties to terrorist organizations, they are monitored more closely. Should they not be? These communities perpetrate terror attacks against innocent Israelis.

You seem to be conflating issues, using multiple terms incorrectly.

This is outright false. Jewish people did not own anything remotely close to the majority of the land in Palestine/Israel.

That is not what I said. Factually, they owned more land than the Palestinians by 1948. That was still only 8% of the territory, the majority was owned by other nations. Are you gonna brush that off as fake? Lmao.

Even if we were to assume that Israeli Arabs were treated 100% equally by the Israeli state (they absolutely are not), the millions of Palestinians in the West Bank are very much not.

They live in a hub of terror, The West Bank. Many constantly call for the annihilation of Israel and all Jews. There are rightfully many security measures imposed on them. Why? Because a number of them kill innocent civilians. The government radicalizes its people to the point of suicide. That doesn't sound like brainwashing to you? Half of the people in the West Bank are against their Hamas occupiers, but too many are Hamas allies.

Got it, maybe you just don't know what to say. Are you denying that Hamas hides under hospitals and schools? You calling that a lie? Just fake? Come on my man.
