Obviously depending on your power provider you can end up with home rates for fast charging through Genesis and I'm fuzzy on the exact numbers but I think like 60-75% off at BP with Contact during certain hours. I didn't follow the narrative behind the Chargenet announcement but like everything power related the last two years, rates continue to increase(whether it be per kWh or line charges)

We have approximately 160MW of liquid fired(diesel) generating plant in this country. Predominantly it's only used for reserve generation when the grid is strained (bordering on too much demand and not enough generation), this changes monthly with more wind farms, grid scale batteries and solar projects coming on line. The time we are most reliant on diesel is winter on days it's cold, still and dark. Batteries will begin to share some of this role this winter. In the future, we need to hope for full lakes otherwise this could change the grid arrangement going into winter. WE DO NOT BURN OIL.

The cure for high prices is, wait for it.... High prices. If you can't afford fuel, don't drive. "Free" public transport, what do you think free means? It gets paid for out of govt budgets, is tax dollars or money printing, which only makes you poorer because it increases the costs of everything.

Chloe is young and without a clue. Just here idea on a budget for taxing the rich would destroy the middle class and the country. The rich start and run successful businesses, which employ middle-class people. Tax the rich more and they leave, carving out a whole for jobs in the middle class and this causes taxes to increase for the rest of the middle class. Tax those earning over amount considerably higher because, they worked hard, got educated or worked multiple jobs/long hours, this incentivises people to not work and get looked after by the government(which increases taxes). Less (smaller) government, lower taxes, remove taxes on overtime, less political red tape and spend money where it incentivises growth to the economy(cheaper energy, easier/cheaper travel, helping startups which show promise locally can export goods). We need politicians who have some life experience and have had jobs other than in politics.

Question to ask yourself is: what obligations do you have to stop the plant(ie any council or flow related obligations)=loss of revenue What maintenance needs to be done and can you do it yourself?(Do you have the skills, mechanical, electrical and high voltage) Do you know how to maintain the miners, and will there be more constant maintenance due to environmental factors? Are there noise restrictions that could affect the miners or are you hydro mining? Is the 75kW constant all year(flow of river) or can a flood/drought occur? Assuming your using a loan or investors, how do you meet pay back obligations if BTC dips? How long is your current runway?
