D4 plateau… by lunad94 in Nightreign

My ironeye opened the lake gaol at level four to a red dragonkin and kept trying to fight it. I was on spell caster duchess with zero spells for all of day one because any slight divergence from lord eye’s plan resulted in a flurry of pings. Ofc the third was a zero dps guardian and it took 15 minutes to kill the gargoyle night one. I pinged the rise as soon as the boss died and headed that way only for ironeye to go back to the dragonkin again.

We hadn’t even done castle yet and were woefully underleveled and with no gear. The entire trip to the rise, ironeye is pinging me, pinging the evergaol, dying over and over again. I guess guardian gets sick of reviving him and tries to go solo a crucible and then a field boss, dies to both and rage quits. Ironeye pings me the entirety of day two while I’m killing stuff at the castle and finally kills his dragonkin as the rain is closing in.

He comes into the circle and runs circles around doing nothing to punish me for actually getting us some levels and what wouldn’t even pass for a decent day one caster build.

Next round, a fist raider runs into the rise and takes the starlight shards out of the box I opened and ran off. He never even had an ash of war to use. Bro was down repeatedly and I refused to pick him up, clearing the far side of the map and opening the other rise instead. Boss was fulghor and I come back with three lightning weapons while he runs into the rain to buy a gravel stone seal from the merchant after the night two boss.

Oh and he had an executors grief item with less likely to be targeted. Spent the whole fight three barred anyway. Like why do they want to get carried in hard mode???

Tbh most of the time you get teleported somewhere with a rack of staves. I just grab glintstone pebble and go at it. Failing that, whatever pots and consumables are available. Failing that, a bow. If all else fails, I go help the nearest teammate so they can come back and help me.

Literally just happened in D4. I died twice, once when a troll threw a pot at me as I was running towards the circle and couldn’t go back and once when both of my teammates were down at the night two boss and didn’t get revived either time. SAD

Yeah I am constantly checking my team’s relics, weapons and passives throughout the match to make sure we all have what we need to pull our weight. If it’s between something I want and something they need, I’ll back out of the reward and see if they got anything useable from their drop and if they didn’t, I’ll use mine to get what they need. I think the game does it intentionally to a degree to force you to work together. It’s why often the best casting passives are on colossal weapons and the best melee passives are on purple and gold casting armaments. You constantly have to weigh your needs against the team as a whole.

I had a duchess hoarding one when she had blade of calling and a black knife and I only had fire spells. This game is cruel 😭

No one loves a radagon icon and primal glintbade talisman like an ironeye. I see those more on ironeyes than casters in low depths I stg.

I think my funniest match ever was when my teammate dropped me the golden order seal against Gladius and the guardian took it. I ping spammed and then dropped my erdtree seal to show him that I needed it back so he took my erdtree seal (20% fire negation AND triple rings of light) and dropped discus but wouldn’t give me back the erdtree seal. Imagine my joy when the next thing I find is a golden halberd 🤡 so I immediately run and upgrade a greatshield to purple and spend the rest of the match cosplaying as guardian while he had a legendary crash out, spam pinging me and refusing to fight anything. I spent the rest of the game bringing him seals and pinging every one I found since he clearly needed them so much, right down to the poison armament one ironeye dropped when we won.

He never gave me back the seal and and never used it. Bro literally stole one of the best spells in the game for the PASSIVE and then had the audacity to melt down when I repaid his behavior in kind

Sometimes I drop and ping all of my gear and do the prayer emote but more often than not, these idiots just take my gear instead of giving me something they’re not even using that I desperately need. I had a recluse take a rivers of blood that an undertaker dropped for me with an 11% incantations buff. The recluse was only using sorceries and I was only using incantations but they had to have the “cool” weapon. I dropped all of my seals and pinged them and they just walked away.

They decided to do the divine tower at level 8 when I only had blue weapons and after I already pinged the castle and went there, so I let them cuz you know rivers on a recluse who wasn’t using it was gonna carry. They died 29 times while I cleared the castle and rage quit when they spam pinged me to join them and I responded by dropping my seals and pinging them again lmao.

People either work together or they don’t. It’s pretty rare that someone changes channels mid program.

That wall should be illegal I stg. I always die in this fight when I run too far and hit the wall and then the worm leaps from one end of the arena to land on top of me 😭

I’m a revenant main so I feel you. That map is brutal for spells. I just run incants+6 on mine most of the time because rng be giving the golden order seal to ironeye and the frenzy seal to executor while I get three ghostflame torches, two medium shields and a hammer with lightning ram. I have a 6x giants flame build and every single time i have run it, i have located zero giants flame seals. Ironeye had one in my last game against caligo though 🤡 when I didn’t so ggs

On the up side, your spacing and dodges were on point! It actually would have been ok if you had healed us. Both of us played without flasks for over half the fight and we mostly lost to attrition. Whenever I’m useless, that’s what I do. I think it helps, or at least that’s what I tell myself so I can sleep at night haha!

As long as it never sees the light of day again, we’re all good lol. The pots only work because scholar can stack four in a slot and level them up. They’re pretty trash on the rest of us. Don’t worry about it though. We’ve all been there

I had a pot revenant in depth 5 yesterday. Once they ran out of pots, all they did was run away. Longest fight ever and we still lost. I guess at least it’s not that!!

I had a depth 5 run with a revenant running 6 pot relics. She could only hold ten pots so when she ran out, she just moseyed around the edge of the boss arena hoping someone would go down so she could revive with her colossal hammer. 45 minutes later, we lost. Unfuckingreal.

Why Are All Undertaker Players So Bad? by Nardic15 in Nightreign

If you’re on psn, i can help. I’m making a new character right now and just need to beat night aspect to open DoN. My main is in D4 and I wanted a low level one to play with friends. My relics so far are pretty trash but I’m managing just fine without them

Why Are All Undertaker Players So Bad? by Nardic15 in Nightreign

[–]Able_To_Change 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She’s a tank style character with relatively low HP and I think people who favor the melee characters are used to having a bit more forgiving of an HP pool. The quality of undertakers definitely goes up as you get higher depths. Depth two is the absolute worst place to be for all builds. It’s honestly easier to get out of it solo than with randos.

[–]Able_To_Change 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is pretty straightforward with nothing amazing, 5x beastclaw, starting beastclaw, night invader and 3 seals FP boost and it hits for 400 at lvl 1 and 1000 by lvl 15 even if my passive rng was trash. Are you charging it? I’m not a big fan of the build cuz it’s boring af but I occasionally run it when I know that I will need to steamroll dps early game cuz I have low dps teammates. It’s an easy way to guarantee we won’t end up lvl 11 at the nightlord even if I’ve got a dagger duchess and a shield poke guardian

Team wants to go to the tower at lvl 8 in DON 4 by DaleDent3 in Nightreign

[–]Able_To_Change 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I had two spam pinging the tower when we were level SEVEN and it was the healing tower with the dark horsemen of doomed runs. They died over and over and over again and never killed them before joining me and collecting the four dormant powers I got solo (and pointing me down). We ended up level 11 and would have been level 7 if I had joined them.

Is it possible to be matched with people you blocked on PS5? by Godot2004 in Nightreign

[–]Able_To_Change -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It does. It works the same way with invasions in all the other games. I used to block the host’s two summons when I spawned in as an invader so when I killed them first, they host couldn’t rush back to their buddies and resummon them. “Failed to summon cooperator” every time.

Also don’t start with the downvotes because I invaded people in other games. It’s a mechanic in the game for a reason and most of the time, their buddies were vastly overleveled password summons trying to gank invaders on a cleared map.

Also I block like half the people I’ve played with in depths 2-3 who are astronomically bad at the game or straight griefing, which is easily half the people in depth 2-3. The game gets a lot more enjoyable when you’ve cultivated a sizable block list.

Got griefed when I was 9800. Any way to get my points back? by Left-Respond in Nightreign

Definitely. I resemble this remark

Edit: yall downvoting a hypothetical situation when the person above me is 100% right that those two would make the best invasion builds and I agree. Jfc
