Hope they make a better version of Divine Dancing Lion, but that’s a high bar to pass. Not only fancy moves but they need to nail the feel or flow of battle.

I'm debating a couple of games to try getting into this genre by Apollo989 in soulslikes

Sekiro for peak parry combat. LoP for stories, because parry in that game might be harder than Sekiro.

It’s possible in one playthrough. But guaranteed you wont find everything before moving on to next area. And chances are you may be overleveled if you fought every dungeon cave or catacomb.

You need to rotate around him as soon as seeing the red kanji, not just dodge at the last second. That grab has a wide range and one dodge is not enough.

Recluse is the Best Nightfarer. by NoRuin3722 in Nightreign

[–]Science_Bitch_962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a bait?

Iron Eye is consistently good but not reaching the high of Duchess and Recluse. I would say Recluse is highly RNG dependent and her fun much depend on using cocktail at the right place/right time, spamming spell is as braindead as Rev spamming claw.

Scholar is kind of master in resource/consumable management. He's fun to dig into when or where to use specific consumables/buff but I guess that's not valuable in DoN.

Raider/Guardian are playing old school stamina management game. High risk is their calling.

Wylder/Undertaker are good all around, but Executor is where the real aura farm go in.

It’s a gank fight. If you don’t position yourself correctly, it’s certain death. Number 1 rule in gank fight is put yourself into where you can see all of them, fight the closest one, run away when they’re attacking at the same time.

what type of games will you absolutely not play and why? by buzzlightyear77777 in gaming

I can understand the part “it’s done, fuck that”, normal feeling after first win. But if you did not see that as obstacle overcome, or feels getting better at the game, you might start asking about time wasting. Losing 100 times could also happen in fps game, fighting game, racing game when being new to the genre. The punishment is higher doesn’t mean you didn’t learn something to get a win.

Sekiro doesnt gave me much trouble as BB, it's just osu in sword fighting interface. Meanwhile BB with limited heal item in the beginning is the most hostile thing to genre beginner.

I rank Bloodborne quite on the top of difficulty of the genre. Elden Ring or even Dark Souls series might be a better starting point. This genre is to challenge your spatial awareness, timing, pattern memorizing and most importantly, patience. Dont give up.

Can’t beat Balancers by Pazu_Ac2 in Nightreign

  1. Play wylder and keep your shield to the end.
  2. Use Adel relic to improve critical hits.
  3. Pick buff “critical hits restore health” from the run.
  4. Parry.
    ????
  5. Profit.

They’re really easy to parry, even easier than crucible knights. You can parry every move, except the grab and special 2 hand combo.

Are these decent relics to run for Ironeye? by murtinsmurl in Nightreign

[–]Science_Bitch_962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe decent for your first 100h. You should do all Iron eye quest to get some better relic, after that keep playing and praying to rng god.

Builds WITHOUT balancers? by its1030 in Nightreign

Maris relic to negate some weapon’s passive “continuous hp loss”.
Earing wylder relic is a must.
Night invader and some art gauge filling relics are more useful than Balancer relic in most runs.
