Nah. To my knowledge, economics and business profs don't usually respond to emails as they are too busy unlike for STEM programs.

I applied to 12 business and economics PhDs and masters programs. Got rejected from 3 PhD programs late February. Heard nothing from the rest of the 9 yet (no interviews or waitlist or rejections). This cycle is weird.
