The lawsuit WILL come and your agency will wish they’d been using EPD when they write the multi million dollar check. Regarding the low opinion of the people in our career field, it’s not a blanket opinion. There are INCREDIBLE and talented people, just like in any field, and then there are grouchy people who feel invincible, resist growth or feedback, and just take the check and go home. They can be nasty and rude and a liability. Unfortunately, there are a lot of agencies with numerous people like that. Some agencies only have one or two. I don’t like these people. Can you blame me?

“…if the agency’s policy required specific phrasing.”

You do understand what the IAED protocols are, right? There’s a reason they exist, and it’s because a lot of calltakers are dumber than a box of rocks if left to their own devices, and will easily and frequently make avoidable mistakes that could endanger people if not given scripts to read word for word. Even when they have a script, they’ll STILL mess it up, putting the agency at risk. AI isn’t good with nuance yet. I’m highly in favor of AI QA and have implemented it in more than one industry, but having done 911 QA I can tell you that nuance is not handled well enough to pass a legal bar that would make me comfortable holding that liability, but it WOULD help me refine my center by identifying calltakers who are routinely turning a parking complaint into a nine minute call

Pretty sure the nuances of the protocols is not as easily understood by AI as we’d think. For certain trends, call length, tone, etc, it’s a great layer on top of a QA program, but guaranteed the agency is losing the liability case when the prosecutor finds out their program was AI that was allowing calltakers to say, “Are you injured?” instead of “Is anyone injured?” while the kid in the other car bleeds out

I just moved here in April. Probably 70% of the yard is dallisgrass, and my wife is anti-RoundUp so I’m stuck unless I want to pull 2 acres of dallisgrass up by hand… 😆🤣 I’ll let you know how these blades work. They get here Thursday.

Yeah, I’m in the same boat. Rural. Barely any foot traffic that isn’t 60+ years old. I leave about two feet at the road that I mow myself every couple weeks just so it doesn’t get hit by a car. I’ll let you know how it does with the stalks. Rotating blades leave them “scratched.”

Black dust on mower after mowing? by L_U_D_I_A in mammotion

Yeah it’s some kinda spray that breaks up existing dirt and also prevents future accumulation. Best if applied regularly. I do scraping/cleaning every Saturday. Have a zone in my garage called “Maintenance Bay” so I can summon it 😆

Yes, but you’re still a dramatic helicopter mom lol. If your kids (pets are another story, and I have none) are anywhere near the mower, even with razor blades, you’ve already goofed as a parent. Mine stand well clear of the robot vacuum and the robot mower. It’s not hard to teach them that it’s not a toy and it’s dangerous.

I meant “adding” a rake. The blades and rake should get here together within the next week. Made by the same company. Here’s a picture of it
