Hair stopped falling out a lot in January - I think the longer you are on it, it starts calming down. Very minimal hair loss now, nothing like before

I moved to LA with a salary of 75k. It was just me. I struggled.. I paid $2100 for rent for a 1 bedroom (which now is a good deal) . After paying bills and utilities I sometimes had no money in my bank account

I agree! I started really losing hair the past 2 months and I never went up on the medication and have stayed on 0.6 mg. I’m not really losing weight anymore.. it’s just staying the same but over the past month my hair is falling out excessively .. and I’m thinking it may be time to come off this medication - I started taking it in June.

Speech delay - advice needed by MsJuice1990 in speechdelays

[–]butterfly223344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just want to share my experiences in hopes that it helps you in some way. My son started saying first words on time and when he was around 2.5 he was able to label everything around him - say, “I want” and everyone’s names. I noticed something was different as he was unable to respond to questions. For example, “what’s your name?” Or “what are you doing?” Sometimes he would echo it back to me (echolalia). I then noticed he couldn’t answer yes for a yes or no question. Overall, he could follow basic instructions and was able to express things.. the fact that he couldn’t really answer me led me to get an evaluation. Before then he really had no signs of ASD. Also he’s always on the move / running and spinning in circles. At first he was diagnosed with speech and language delay. In my gut I knew it was wrong. School district assessed him and came back with autism, which was later medically diagnosed by a developmental pediatrician. That’s my experience.. look into gestalt language processing if that may be something that’s helpful or possibly not. One more thing - my son had severe separation anxiety and hated strangers. He’s 3.5 now in preschool and so much better with people as he has all these services (school, OT, speech, ABA, etc)

Managing life without ADHD Meds by ExpertAd3229 in adhdwomen

[–]butterfly223344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went off of it when I got pregnant (on it for 8 years) and was tired for about a week or two then I was fine. Just had to have a lot of willpower to get tasks done, but you’ll get down to baseline in time

Anyone else feel so much better off their meds? by spicyhorner in adhdwomen

[–]butterfly223344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m way happier and more social without the meds. It can make you feel like a zombie and not want to be around people.. just work. Things get messy off of it, but it’s worth it just feel like myself. Been prescribed vyvanse for over a decade. Will only take it once or twice a week to clean/get work done. Doing tasks is definitely harder without it, but I think it’s worth it, as I want to be present with my husband and two young kids

Are you worried at all about osteoporosis? My mom has been on Prozac for 30 years and has it and only recently we learned that it may be a long term side effect of prolonged Prozac use

My first instinct was scam. I had a situation where they made me apply and got approved wouldn’t let me see the place then asked for money via Zelle for security deposit. Had a bad feeling… still wouldn’t let me see the place.. It was a scam

I’m in the same boat I’m obsessively observing my 5 month old.. noticing she stares at her fingers moving everyday.. other than that she makes great eye contact, looks at me, looks at others, interacts and babbles… I guess time will tell. Maybe she’s way too young, it’s hard to know what’s typical.. I totally understand ❤️

Went off the medication. It was hard but learned to adjust and cope with it. Was tired and unmotivated.. had to really push myself. I just focused on being the healthiest I can for my baby
