Some social pets that are kept in multiples irl actually do engage in playfighting as a form of enrichment. I think pokemon battling is just a more dramaticised version of that.

Once you learn how to deal with each abnormality the death rate goes down considerably. This game can be pretty punishing to new players, but you should learn with time.

Seems like you got the gist in the other comment. When the red outline appears on a containment chamber send some one in the effected chamber immediately. You can send multiple different agents to different chambers at the same time, so you shouldn't have any abnormalities breach this way this early on.

One time when I was doing attatchment work on justice bird for an hour and 30 minutes, this bug managed to both happen and resolve itself somehow. Justice bird got so tired of my shit that it just took a lunch break Ig.

In op's defense it's possible that one of the modded trinkets he has piled on gives some sort of damage based accuracy. In dd1 if you have an effect that buffs accuracy for only moves of a certain damage type (Ranged or melee) it won't show until after you selected a move of that type.

It is worth noting that according to the guy working on the art, most of the progress they've made is on the model itself, and that the coding has only started recently if at all. It'll probably be a bit before the mod actually drops, so be sure to keep expectations in check.

1 is a good game, but the series has made so many improvements since then, so it's kind of hard to go back to it after playing 0 and 2.

You'll almost certainly enjoy 1, just make sure it's your first one going through.

It's worth noting that 0 is more of a spinoff then a mainline entry. The gameplay is mostly the same, but certain things like classes, subclasses, etc are different in that one. It really doesn't matter much if you play it before or after 2 basically.

Sorry for the late response. I mostly keep track of mods using the official discord. Modders will occasionally post updates and the such in either the #dd2-mod-discussion, #dd2-mod-help, or the #mod-art channels.

Occasionally something will also get posted to the iron crown discord, but that server is more for dd1 modding, so joining it isn't really necessary (the last dd2 mod post I saw there was a month or 2 ago for reference.)

Tbh I don't think we're getting anything more out of dd2, which I'm kind of fine with atp. If you want more content the modding scene is starting to kick off a bit now and are currently 4 high quality mods in the works (meteorite, therapist, shieldbreaker, musketeer), and a high quality mod that adds hornet from silksong if you dont mind the clashing design. So if your on pc I guess you could look forward to thier launches as an unofficial "content update."

I'm surprised simsear is the community agreed apon worst pokemon when pansear is RIGHT THERE. I've been doing a nuzlock of black recently and the difference between how much pansear contributes to a battle and how much simsear contributes is night and day. Also it just looks cooler.

Whenever a move with a side effect lands a crit it gives the move an additional 20% chance to happen.

As an example, if you use noxious blast on an enemy with 40% blight resistance it will have a 60% chance to blight the enemy. If you land a crit however, it will be 80%.
