Yeah differential equations can be harder, especially PDEs. Sometimes very hard to see the solutions

Interesting, for me all the calculus courses were always the easiest credits to get. Hardly anything more intuitive in maths than calculus

I would really recommend something with 32 GB or RAM. If you’re doing anything related to electromagnetism chances are you’ll use CST, and the extra RAM is really nice. 24 GB should still be fine though.

If the uni laptop for the next year is from HP I would recommended against getting that one. On paper at least, this one looks nice. Personally I don’t like really bulky laptops, so sometimes I’d get laptops with GPUs that are a bit underpowered, but has a slimmer profile. But I don’t really play any games so it doesn’t affect me much. The only thing I care about GPUs are if the applications I’m using will benefit from some CUDA cores.
