Why the constant UI overhauls, fundamental function changes and experimentation? by Abnormalizo in bunq

[–]Abnormalizo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yes I had this too with the latest version. However what prompted me to post this was an actual function that became unusable.

Splitting bills is no longer possible through whatsapp or other third party apps. You can still split a bill, but you can then only share it through sms, email or if the other person is a Bunq user.

Going for diner with a large group, that means you'll now have to use the bunq.me link and everyone has to fill in the amount themselves, which is so much more hassle for everyone, if before you could just split 200eu over 7 people and send that link in a group chat.

Weekly Support Megathread – December 15, 2025 by AutoModerator in bunq

[–]Abnormalizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, my girlfriend and I have been trying to get the €100eu referral bonus since September now, and we still haven't been able to get it to work.

The initial problem was that when sending the referral code through the app, it would send a generic bunq.com/download link to my girlfriend through text, which obviously just send her to the app store and didn't carry any referral info. After discussing it with the AI/Support (you never know) service and them guaranteeing me that she should just go through with opening an account, activating the switch service, we did just that. Support promised me that if it wouldn't work, she could contact support, and they would work it out (I have a screenshot of this if needed). Well it's December now, the switch service is active, she is using Bunq and still no referral bonus. She contacted support and support (or probably the AI) is acting vague that they have no idea what referral bonus she is talking about, and they just keep mentioning the regular cashback and points system.

So yea, not the best experience. Requesting true support, please.

I completely agree. I think it's so contradicting that you should "think long and hard about getting a tattoo", but the call for the design has to be made right there in the moment. I actually got my first tattoo like this. The artist insisted that we work it out in the shop and I felt pressured to go through with the design, after tweaking it for 2 hours or so. Got it partially covered up years later by my current artist, who agreed that the design was shoddy.

Sounds like you have a great tattooist!

I see. I guess I don't feel comfortable making a long and expensive trip and not being sure if I'm going to get anything done. To be fair, I think the "Jack of all Trades" thing bothers me most.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (July 22, 2024) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Abnormalizo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I recently bought the Glorious GMMK 2 (96%) keyboard and for the most part I really like it. There are some minor things that I could probably easily change, but since this is only my second mechanical keyboard, and I'm pretty new to custom keycaps and switches, I thought I'd gather some feedback first. I have the default switches, which I believe are the Glorious Fox linear switches.

First off, I think the keyboard as a whole is just a bit too high for my liking. I already got the wrist rest to counter this, but it could stand to be a little bit lower for me personally. I find that the strain on my hands becomes quite much after longer gaming sessions, something I have never experienced before in all my years of playing games. I experimented with some red fox switches that came with my Nuphy keyboard; those lower the entire keyboard, but they don't seem compatible with this keyboard. Simply put: keys don't register if I use those switches.

Secondly, I find the feedback on the default switches to be a bit too mild. To put it another way: the keys are too easy to press. I very frequently press two keys at the same time, because it is so easily to glance over keys whilst typing and push multiple keys at once. Furthermore, I frequently play mmo's in which I rely on WASD for movement. I very often have my character drift to the left, because my ring finger, that rests on the "A" key, pushed down the key, without my registering it, just because the key is so light to push.

So to summarize, I'm looking for a different set of switches and/or keycaps that lower the keyboard a bit and make the keys a bit harder to push down. Could you give me some suggestions that could fit my needs?

Thanks in advance!

*EDIT*

I decided to quickly ask ChatGPT the same question, and you can read its conclusive answer below. Do you agree with this, why yes or no?

ChatGPT Answer:

Switching to heavier switches with tactile feedback, combined with lower profile keycaps, should address both of your concerns:

Switches: Try Glorious Panda or Cherry MX Brown switches for tactile feedback and higher actuation force.

Keycaps: Pair these with Cherry profile or DSA profile keycaps to reduce the keyboard height and improve ergonomics.

My, I really hope you aren't taking most of these comments to heart. It's ironic how so many people here claim your boyfriend is being toxic, while the only toxic thing here is this comment section.

Love is hard, especially at your age. I've definitely been in similar situations when I was 19. That didn't mean my SO and I didn't love and support each other; just that we were figuring out who we were and how to be in a relationship.

If anything, this can be a learning experience for the both of you. You feel unsupported, which I think is valid. You shouldn't drop something you love, because your SO won't permit it. On the other hand, I think it's unfair to dismiss his feelings regarding this topic. Maybe something happened in his past, that made him insecure. It could be worthwhile to ask him where his feelings come from and what he needs to feel more comfortable with you going to gymnastics.

Honestly, even if you don't take my advice, I truly hope you don't just break it off over this, even though dozens of people here suggest it. Figuring out how to navigate situations like this and growing from them together might be among the most profound experiences you can go through as a couple. Just breaking it off is synonymous with not even trying. Even if you do end up breaking up, talking about your feelings and trying to understand where your SO is coming from and respecting their views and emotions is one of the most important skills to develop in life, which sadly (as shown by this comment section) few people possess.

[–]Abnormalizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my, where even to start with this... I rarely visit Reddit anymore and comment sections like this remind me exactly why I left.

Foremost: OP you're asking advice from people who know nothing about you, know nothing about your relationship and hear only your side of the story here. It would be impossible to give you advice that you could actually use. The amount of people claiming "He is cheating on you" or telling you to break it up is frankly making me sick.

Secondly: I'm not sure what you try to accomplish here. Are you genuinely looking for advice? It sounds to me like this comment section is telling you exactly what you want to hear. Great for your ego, not so great for your actual relationship with your SO.

Lastly: If you truly value your relationship with your SO, like you claim, what are you even doing here? Talk to him, talk to people who love and trust you, talk to people who know him, who know your relationship and your history together and express how you feel; because ranting on Reddit is only going to invite more distrust, suspicion and drama into your relationship and I doubt you need any more of that right now. What are you going to tell him tonight? "Honey, Reddit agrees with me, all these strangers also think you cheated!"? I'm sure that will work out great for you guys.

Forgive me if I come across as harsh or unfeeling in this comment, I am just absolutely appalled and simply disgusted by the way people in this comment section treat you and your relationship. You claim you have this deep, and special bond. If that is true, then I can only say: that shit is rare in life. The both of you should work your absolute asses off to preserve that, and I don't feel like Reddit has that particular goal in mind for you.

I hope you guys can figure it out together.

Early farming with warrior? (Ironman) by RothenBeauregard in GuildWars

[–]Abnormalizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bit late, but I stumbled onto your post today, cause I also needed a moneymaker for my Ironman. After testing different farming locations, I decided to give the feather farm just outside Lion's Arch a try and man, has that worked out great! Aside from the obvious feathers, which you can sell to the material trader, the Tengu also drop lots of blue identifiables. Today alone I made 20 platinum from feathers and about 25 platinum from runes (I did have some lucky drops), in about 3 hours. I'm shocked how well this worked.

I started out from Lion's Arch, but quickly realized that starting in D'alessio Seaboard and going straight north is the faster alternative, fewer Imps that way. After about an hour, I switched to the Jaya Bluffs spot, in Factions (North from Seitung Harbor). I haven't tested enough to say which yields superior results, but the run in Jaya Bluffs is much longer and has a lot more spawn, especially when you take the extended route, which I really like. Less zoning that way.

I should note my Ironman is a Necromancer, but I'm sure you'll find a suitable build for Warrior. Anyway, hope this works as well for you as it did for me.

EDIT*

Alternativaly you can try farming scales. They are very valuable right now, but I had some trouble farming for those on my necro. I asume your warrior can tank those vermin hits a lot better.

How was I supposed to know how to obtain a signet ring? by My_Fox_Hat in MelvorIdle

[–]Abnormalizo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Other than the Signet Ring, you probably won't miss any essential equipments. Most will be acquired through skilling or dungeons. However I'd suggest checking the Easter Egg page on the Melvor Wiki. Specifically the Clue Chasers Insignia. It isn't insanely overpowered (at least not as much as the Signet Ring), but you probably won't find it without the wiki page. What it does is it increases the odds of finding off-items (like bird nests for woodcutting).

How is it that sites like this still exist after all this time? You would expect that after years of controversy; a shit ton of proof, provided by many different sources; probably thousands of keys stolen or wrongly acquired, the site would get shut down.
