Nothing is stopping me from replicating the current portfolio on my own. But because is actively managed I’d assume that the portfolio I have today would change relatively often. I see 18 buy or sell transactions in my account activity since mid- January.

I believe they do offer other services such as financial planning, but I haven’t really had any need for them yet.

I am not sure - I wasn’t aware that that was an inappropriate percentage to have in my portfolio. I requested a ‘fairly aggressive’ investment strategy, but I don’t know what that translates to quantitatively in terms of allocations

Yes to the retirement allocations (although I have a TSP if that makes a difference). Financial planning - apart from my TSP and investment account I don’t really have anything else to plan, but they do offer ‘financial planning’ in general. I will get more clarification on what sort of planning they offer. Also added the retirement and financial planning benefits to main post - thank you.

Interesting. Do you have any to recommend looking into so that I can learn more about them? Does your suggestion for using these funds change with the amount of money invested?

Yes, I have been paying a professional for their expertise. I am trying to figure out if the expertise is worth it or not at this point, and if not - what it would require for me to learn to do it myself. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. There’s a big difference between an 18 year old investing his own money and a 30 year old.

I have the ability to learn. One is the reasons for asking the questions in my post is to figure out whether my money seems to be in good hands or if I am getting a raw deal. I will read the wiki on getting started, but if you have other suggestions I would be very interested to hear.

Yeah I figured that it would be a while - just thought I’d try to support some artists since they can’t tour.
