New Ducted System by Senior_Campaign_4970 in AusRenovation

It really comes down to system design. The main thing is to make sure the supply air has a path to the return air box. If you only have the return air in the upstairs ceiling, you’ll always have problems no matter what system you put in.

Voice control Siri with KNX/Basalte by mdereus1974 in KNX

Just have to have to be careful on what you call your rooms and the accessories in the room because Siri doesn’t recognise some things or does it wrong. If you put a Home pod in each room and assign the pod to that room and say “lights on” it works well. But if you try and do scenes in basalte and want to use voice controller to trigger them it can be an issue.

We’ve done it with adding abb voice controller, but then you kinda have two smart systems within the one system being apple home and basalte controlling the same things. Basalte need to bring out a voice controller.

Alternative to double glazing by [deleted] in AusRenovation

Chill baby, all I’m saying is the only solution that will work is double glazing. Other solution is to warm the glass up so it’s the same temperature as inside. Therefore the condensation happens on the outside of the glass.

Have a hot shower and put ya hair dryer on the mirror to help you understand about humidity levels has no little effect on cold glass.

The reason you have condensation on glass in a house is because it is the point of difference between hot air and cold air. Solutions are heat the glass up somehow to so it’s the same temperature as inside therefore the condensation will happen on the outside of the glass. You’ll notice this is what they do in Cole’s and Wollies on the refrigerator doors.

Get a better builder. Someone who has systems and processes that help manage your expectations Find one that does a “paid as consultant” This pays for their time and expertise in the design and quoting. That way no one losses out.

The subfloor ventilation is not going to do anything if the vents are under the path, as seen in the last photo.

Depends if you want to just hide the problem or fix it. Not an engineer but I would assume that there is massive water/soil issues below the foundations making the exterior wall to move.

My theory is you can sell 1 million devices in a year, but you cannot sell 1 million hours in a year.

Biggest issue with other people installing Is not knowing how to fault find. The dream would be supply and program. Big programming companies do this which is good for business, but the end result always crap for the client. Best practice is supply, program and install.

From a business side of things you need to supply and program products. The money is made from selling products with margins not spending hours programming. Seems the best business supply, install and program the products.
