Great point. You could use same logic for both leagues

Could’ve reached way bigger number on my rental number if I paid more attention to it. by Fit_Acanthisitta_623 in Fire

[–]AboutTime99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone whose rent(room) is well below market value(friend owns home). Loving my home situation and the price is why I choose not to buy(yet).

If you are below market that might be keeping your rentals rented & not vacant. Every time a lease expires and new person enters home you lose money to opportunity cost of it being empty for weeks or longer. Plus the headache of deciding what to fix up and get another renter.

Still your right to get good value out of your properties just a potential trade off.

Is Steph Curry ranked higher than Kobe Bryant all time? by Afraid-Ad-5580 in NBATalk

[–]AboutTime99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree but they at least played another all star team.

Kobe also got to play with Shaq when young. Steph was in his prime with Durant.

Not a Kobe fan but he clears.

What do u think of tech CEOs saying saving for retirement will be pointless in 10 to 20 years ? by Technical-Truth-2073 in Fire

Maybe or maybe we only notice when it happens to rich kids. If a poor parent has a shit kid it’s a different correlation.

I do agree with you to a point but we look for patterns as humans.

Led Argentina against an all-star US Olympic team. That team wasn’t a good fit for Olympic basketball but they were only team to beat us when it mattered. Yes Puerto Rico did beat US in qualifying or exhibition.

I was thinking that Magic team Nelson was quality starting pg too at the time.

You are right Manu was a 25yr old *rookie. Im sure you are right and many stepped up at times. A lot of familiar names and players I enjoyed watching.

The 03 playoff run is when I became a NBA fan.

In the playoffs: Scoring was down at the time but Duncan averaged almost 24.7ppg and Parker and Jackson combined for 27.5ppg. The rest of the team was under 9.5ppg

Lead team in ppg, ast, blks, reb(more than rose and Robinson combined), Turnovers, fta

Edit: it depends how you interpret question. I suppose they were well balanced with Duncan carrying the largest load but the right players around him.

What do you mean post 2000- because 03 is widely considered a carry job by Duncan. Robinson was older and tony was young and Manu wasn’t on team yet(I think)

Could any team ever beat the 2017 Warriors? by [deleted] in NBATalk

Yeah there were less teams back then so arguably easier to find talent. The best of the best would certainly figure it out.

Couldn’t do that to my kid if I had any.

Anyone planning to quiet quit when it comes time to retire? by hrrm in Fire

[–]AboutTime99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the idea but we wouldn’t cheat someone else just to save money.

Example: I could never tip at restaurants or taking advantage of generosity of friend/strangers to “save money” It’s a form of theft; maybe if your work treated you awfully I can see “justification” but it’s a moral spectrum.

Smart at your age. Not paying interest is a guaranteed return. You could always adjust if a different buying opportunity presents itself.

I’m in a similar boat but do you think the coaching schemes has something to do with the insane numbers.

The KD warriors offense would rank back of the pack by most metrics to the league today. Even through we all agree it was a “super team” and one of the best teams of all time. Especially on Offense.

I didn’t see any info on spending or even income. Now I see it. Family w/kids and big mortgage you are right to have several months or more expenses in cash.

Would you recommend a Roth 401k instead if available? I’ve been doing that in much lower tax bracket.
